Extremely Disappointed with Service – Unacceptable ExperienceReference Number: 35865763I rarely take the time to write public complaints, but the service I’ve received from this provider has been nothing short of appalling — and I believe others deserve to be warned. It took weeks just to cancel the service. Endless back-and-forth, no clear direction, and a complete lack of urgency from the support team. After finally cancelling, I was told couriers would collect the router. That part was oddly efficient. However…Out of the blue, a debit order went off for a monthly payment — even though the service has not been in use for months. This is a pay-to-use agreement, and there was no usage. No warning. Just money taken. When I contacted support to reverse the charge, they managed to delete one of my SIM cards entirely without performing a SIM swap. This has now made my number unretrievable — a number I’ve used and intended to keep.I went to the Queenswood store to try and resolve it face-to-face, only to find a visibly furious police officer dealing with the exact same problem. Clearly, this is not an isolated incident. While in store, they activated a refund. I was promised it would reflect shortly. A week later — nothing. No follow-up, no refund. To top it all off, calling the service line is a waste of time. You are directed to a foreign call center where the agents repeat the same scripted lines and offer no actual help or escalation process.I’ve lost money, a personal phone number, and an enormous amount of time. The lack of accountability, transparency, and professionalism is deeply concerning. To anyone considering using this provider: proceed with extreme caution. I sincerely hope this company takes these repeated complaints seriously and re-evaluates how they treat paying customers.
On 15 July, I activated a Rain internet connection after confirming service availability in my suburb. Initially, I received speeds of up to 200 Mbps for the first two hours. However, the connection soon dropped to 4 Mbps. After contacting Rain support, I was advised to restart the router — which reduced speeds to under 1 Mbps. Later, they asked me to move the router to different areas around my home (balcony, sit-out, patio, etc.), but I received no signal at all.All of this happened within the first two days of installation. Frustrated, I contacted Rain customer care to cancel my connection. Despite my request, no one responded for two days. After following up, I was finally issued cancellation ticket #35819145 to prevent a debit order scheduled for 1 August.Still concerned, I reached out again, asking Rain to confirm the cancellation before the billing cycle began. I was assured that my request had been noted and updated in the same ticket. By 28 July, after further follow-ups, Rain responded:“I’ve flagged your cancellation request with a note about how urgent it is and your worry about the next month’s charge. The retentions team’s been looped in to fast-track your case and will get back to you with an update ASAP.”Later that same evening, I contacted them again and was given a new ticket #36197174, with the same promise that my case was being prioritized. At this point, it became clear I was dealing with an automated chatbot rather than real support. To prevent unauthorized billing, I blocked my card. As expected, on 1 August, Rain still attempted to debit my account and sent me the following notification:“Nagendra, your recent card payment didn’t go through. To stay connected, tap the button below to sign in and make a payment.”Throughout August, they repeatedly attempted to process the payment, but no one contacted me to resolve or finalize the cancellation. On 1 September, Rain double-billed me for both August and September, completely ignoring my cancellation requests. When I reached out again, I was issued another ticket — #37492649 — with the assurance that my request had been escalated and my billing concerns would be addressed. Yet, this morning, I received yet another failed payment reminder. At this point, it is clear that Rain’s business practices are misleading and exploitative. They lure customers with false advertising, provide an unstable connection, and then ignore cancellation requests while continuously attempting to bill customers.I strongly caution anyone considering Rain’s services: stay away from these scammers.Due to the deliberate negligence and harassment, I have decided to file a lawsuit against Rain. Customers who have faced similar issues and wish to join this legal action are welcome to do so. I have complete logs and screenshots of all interactions as evidence.
