I agree with Valerie Renwick. I too bought a G Plan settee, chair and recliner delivered just over a year ago. In the shop the furniture had castors but when it arrived it had feet. At that the settee was at an angle as it only had 4 instead of 5 feet. At least you supplied the extra foot. Again I was told it didn't come with castors. So how come the showroom fur iture have castors. The furniture was very expensive but no one cares. No customer care only interested in the money.
Had a great experience at the Edinburgh store, had been in a couple of times to ponder over sofas did not feel rushed and all staff were extremely attentive.Just taken delivery of our new sofa, Murray and his colleague did not have a easy task to remove our old one but did so without moans & groans. Very happy with our experience.
Went into the store to browse - came out with beautiful leather sofas and chair and chose carpets for 3 rooms! Our immediate contact was Paul, assistant store manager who explained the differences in leathers, was extremely pleasant and left us to look around on our own. We then spoke to Scott the flooring manager who was very helpful and assisted us in choosing gorgeous wool carpets. The carpet fitters Dominic and Pearson were a pleasure to have in our home, very professional, hard working and knowledgeable. Finally great care was taken by the sofa delivery team (so sorry didn't capture their names) to ensure our freshly decorated home suffered no accidents. The reclining sofas and chair were put together quickly and efficiently and the old sofas were taken away. Going to Richard F Mackay has been an exceptionally positive experience, it was so easy and hassle free. We were treated like VIP's by Paul with coffee and biscuits and a bottle of Prosecco as a thank you for our order. Great service that we would highly recommend.
Took delivery of a damaged chair as part of our new suit. Took immediate photographs and e mailed to showroom manager and warehouse. Endless phone calls (messages left and never responded to. E mails not responded to) Only when I presented myself into the showroom did things move along slowly. After much jumping up and down I was offered compensation in October. Sadly this has not been received either. Despite sending a copy of the e mail from the showroom manager,back to him to remind him this was still outstanding. 10 months after taking delivery of my new suite we finally received our replacement chair. I could write a list of excuses that I was given. Can’t say it’s been the best experience I had.
Have just taken delivery of two G-Plan sofas from Richard F. Mackay. We received excellent service from the moment we visited the Edinburgh showroom, and met Darren, through to delivery. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff, a great range of products and an excellent and very professional delivery team. Highly recommended!
What a fantastic experience with our salesperson, Holly . She was super attentive while we were shopping with our 95 year old mum. She took so much care and was also fun and professional. Mum is delighted with her order and we were all delighted with Holly’s service. Well done!
