Ruby Lane/Tom's Vignettes, I attempted to purchase an item and am not too good at this. I asked for help and Mr. Lareau replied immediately to offer assistance. I eventually placed my order, but knowing that some one was there to help, well that means a lot to me. Not only that, but my order arrived within four, and I mean four days including date of purchase. I am still waiting for a purchase to be delivered ordered 18 days ago. I am impressed with Mr. Lareau for his OUTSTANDING Customer Service, for Mr. Lareau has exceeded my expectations. What an example to follow. The girlfriend is pleased with the item, Mr. Lareau made me a Hero instead of a zero with her, priceless, sounds like a mastercard commercial, but it is what it is. I purchased a package off Ruby Lane that was delivered to the wrong address. I can't get the seller or Ruby Lane to respond to messages. No where is there a number to calm or an option to open a dispute with a seller. I finally emailed the person listed directly under customer service, but I'm starting to think it is all a scam. I paid extra for insurance but if no one responds it doesn't make a difference
I love this online retailer for all my antique and unique treasure! The site is easy to navigate and the sellers are so nice! I look forward to the emails I get with updates. The pricing is very fair and the quality of the items are well vetted and not "junk" at all. Love it!
I'm still very happy with everything I've bought from Ruby Lane, but the email alerts they send me about new items from certain vendors or that fit into a certain category of products save me a lot of time. I know that the Ruby Lane alerts for a certain type of item will be "right on" and will let me know right away when items I may be looking for go on sale. I really suggest.
I think Ruby Lane is one of the top website stores for antiques in the world. The sellers are domestic and international, and you can locate anything from a magnificent $30,000 Edwardian necklace to a hard to find single shoe for a vintage/antique doll. Their website is a cinch to use and every seller I’ve shopped with has been warm and helpful. Ruby Lane is a favorite for sure!
Ruby Lane is a collection of independent shops/vendors selling many different things, so "your mileage may vary" between different sellers. We've bought many different things (dolls, military items, china/porcelain, books) from a number of different vendors and rarely had any problems at all. Do things happen during shipping? Yes, but in general the items are well-packed. I don't hesitate in ordering items through Ruby Lane vendors.
I continue to be very satisfied with all my purchases from Ruby Lane, but the email alerts that Ruby Lane sends me regarding new items that are available from specific vendors or that fall in a particular category of merchandise are tremendous time-savers. I can count on the Ruby Lane alerts for a particular category of merchandise to be "spot on" and to provide me with timely notice of items that I may be hoping to find for sale. I highly recommend.
