On July 29, 2025, I placed an order with SHEIN for a specific suit for my father in preparation for my upcoming wedding in just two weeks. I have been a loyal customer of SHEIN for years and have made numerous purchases in the past two months for my wedding without issues—until now.Instead of the suit I ordered, SHEIN sent me a completely wrong item: a black outfit with shorts, which I never selected and is totally inappropriate for the event. I immediately contacted customer service to report the issue.To my frustration, SHEIN is now demanding that I return the incorrect item before issuing a refund, stating it will take 5 more business days after return confirmation to receive the money—forcing me to pay again and place a new order. This is impossible given the time constraints. I already paid for express shipping, and even with that, SHEIN has had multiple delays. I will not receive the correct item in time for the wedding.To make matters worse:They disabled my ability to contact any human agent. The live chat option is no longer available to me.I cannot submit disputes due to unexplained system errors.Ticket responses are vague, unhelpful, and do not address the actual issue.They continue to redirect blame to the shipping carrier, even though SHEIN is the party responsible for fulfillment and payment.This treatment has been disrespectful, dismissive, and unacceptable. I feel like they are trying to steal my money while blocking me from any real support.I request that:SHEIN refunds me immediately without requiring the return of the incorrect item.Access to live customer support be restored to resolve open issues.SHEIN be held accountable for this pattern of abusive and deceptive customer service.This is a clear case of a company failing to fulfill their contractual obligation, refusing proper resolution, and silencing their customers.
While Shein is fairly cheap (although as you'll soon ready not as much as you initially think) and some item are nice, there were some veeery cheeky issues that made me go from frequent customer to deciding to delete my account - and never shop from them every again!-once my ongoing disputes are resolved. 1- Most cheeky thing ever which I couldn't believe!! Have you ever wondered why items are so cheap but your basket is over the hundreds? The prices of some of the items in your basket increase as you add items to your basket! Don't believe me? try it out yourself or look it up on google as other people have spoken about this before. So at the end of it, between this, shipping fee,handling fee etc (which you don't get back) the items cost almost as much as other shops but are of worse quality.Also sometimes I received 2 of the exact same item, but one is more expensive than the other (what!?). At first I used to think it was my mistake (although it had never happened to me with other online shops) but then realised it wasn't me, just like the prices go up, quantity can as well.And you might ask "why wouldn't you just refund the extra items?" well because of problem number 2..2- some items are non refundable!! and no, it doesn't state it clearly before you buy it nor does it have any logical pattern to it all. For instance, I could understand why jewellery may not be refundable but why wouldn't (unused) shoes or a dress be non-refundable? Same dress, one in cream and one in orange..one is refundable, the other isn't.3- Some items were missing from the package. Shein refused to refund them because their packaging history/details showed no issues with packaging. This really made me laugh! First of all, where is the proof of this? and most importantly if staff realised they hadn't packed one of the items, why would they report it as a problem rather than just add it to the package or post it separately? baffling..4- One of my packages showed as delivered but I didn't receive it. While the fault for this may lay with the courier rather than Shein, they still put it back on me to contact the courier and all the headache that came with it even though this was not my fault!!! At the end of the day I am paying the (literal) price for something that wasn't my fault! I think that the cost of this should at the very least be shared between me, courier and Shein. Even though it's crazy as I am a simple customer and they are multi billion dollar companies!!Extremely cheeky and very disappointing. Shop at your own risk!
