SKISET....AGUILLE DU MIDI shop

We chose SKISET for our hire via ski school SUPREME, who gave a link and a discount. We are first time skiers and pre booked on line before we went.We went for a long weekend last weekend (4th Jan 2025) Family of 4, mum, dad and 2 x adult children.Hired 4 x sets of skis, boots, poles, helmets for a ski day. Also the following day hired, snowboards, boots and helmets for both children for a snowboard day.We found all four male staff members over both days to be helpful, pleasant and chatty. Everything was ready with our names on but we were able to change boot size, no problem. The shop we used was called SKISET AGUILLE DU MIDI. i understand there are different shops and maybe any negative reviews are for the other shops? The above shop was a good experience for our family. Thank you very much.

Terrible customer service

Paid for highest level of equipment, was given battered old boots. Was involved in an accident (someone skied into the back of me whilst i was stationary) where my pole was completely broken in two. Was made to pay €12 and told that it wasn’t included in insurance. I have lived, worked and skied in many resorts and have never known a charge for a damaged ski pole. Would never rent from them again.

Rented 4 sets of Premium Skis February 2024, we got 2021/22 seasons skis that had seen better days. Asked Skiset if they could guaranteed premium skis next time - the answer came back 'Can't guarantee 100%, speak to the shop'. We had done!!!Wont book through Skiset again

Ski Set Chamonix Midi. - Use Another Shop!!

Ski Set Chamonix Midi.I would use another shop, plenty near by to choose from.In short, a complete rip off, renting 2 helmets, I forgot to add them & they charged me almost as much as the skis & boots! Most equipment were older models, I just think their attitude was very poor in the circumstances & I will not use SKI SET again in any resort as a result.

Very helpful!

I bought ski boots from snow and rock, one of which had a faulty buckle that came off on the third ever day I used them. Snow and Rock had absolutely no interest in sorting out the issue, despite being the retailers that sold it to me. So I had to look elsewhere for help and the man in ski set, (les Arcs 2000) was amazing and put on a new buckle for me, even though the faulty buckle had nothing to do with them.

Avoid Skiset @ Les Arc 2000

I recently had the misfortune of utilising the rental services at Skiset in Les Arc 2000 and, to put it bluntly, it was a complete shambles. Upon arrival, my booking seemed to have disappeared into thin air, and it took being bounced around three different staff members before it was finally unearthed. This lack of organisation and efficiency was exasperating and set a dire tone for the rest of my encounter. The quality of the kit provided was also below par. Despite forking out for premium skis, I was given the same set that another customer had rented as 'basic'. This not only felt like daylight robbery but also made me question the integrity of the shop's pricing structure and their commitment to customer satisfaction. The final straw came on my last day. I politely enquired if I could leave my shoes at the shop to avoid the palaver of skiing back to my hotel and then having to trudge back for 10 minutes toting skis. Incredibly, I was told no by Zack, who was outright rude. However, upon my return at noon, I noted an area where shoes were being stored, with several vacant slots that I was denied use of.In conclusion, my experience with Skiset in Les Arc 2000 was anything but satisfactory. The service was disorganised, the kit was not as advertised, and Zack's intransigence and lack of understanding left a bitter taste. I would advise anyone who values their time, money, and overall skiing experience to give this service a wide berth.

No value placed on customer service. Money lost

I hired via skiset online a set of skis, poles and boots for myself and two daughters for 6 days. On arrival in Ski Set, La Clusaz the staff were friendly enough and sorted all the hire out. Midway through the hire (day 3) I took a bad tumble and ripped my left calf muscle ending up on crutches. I returned my skis, poles and boots same day (3 days remaining) so as to get a refund of non use for last 3 days of trip which is normally standard in these circumstances. I asked the shop for documentation / receipt but they said I would need to sort out via Ski set online. I emailed the website and Dan came back and asked for Skiset La Clusaz to fill out a large form which I duly emailed to them (again from a customer service point of view concerning as should have been sorted out internally). The ski shop never completed the form. Dan has made it clear that the expectation is I get the ski shop to do it not Skiset on line. This has not been resolved. At time of writing no refund received. I now see numerous reviews on trip advisor with this exact problem. I would avoid - book locally not through skiset online. Terrible customer service.
