Received a friendly welcome at the reception and had a brief wait before seeing the optician for my eye check. I was shown the available frames, selected my favorites, and an assistant took my order and left. The process was smooth, stress-free, and carried out with professionalism.
I showed up for my appointment at the service that I scheduled three weeks prior. Upon arrival, my details were taken, only to be informed that since it was just a week shy of two years, they could not accommodate me. They explained that 'the regulations are strict about appointments if two years haven't passed.' I found this to be quite trivial given the circumstances. I won't be returning there.
I had a scheduled appointment for an eye test at 3pm but arrived 5 minutes late. Once I got in, I was informed that they were looking for someone to conduct my test. A minute later, I was asked to reschedule. This was a complete waste of time. The staff are unreliable, and I will not be returning. The tests they offer seem ineffective and haven't helped my vision. The glasses provided are subpar and limited in options. Overall, the experience was frustrating, expensive, and not worthwhile. I strongly advise against visiting this place.

It took 10 days for the glasses to arrive in-store, and when I requested home delivery, I was informed that wasn’t an option. However, online orders can be delivered to home. I feel I was oversold the digital driver lens for my new glasses. From the moment I put them on, I struggled to read, which was the main purpose. I was told I needed to adjust, but the reading lens was inadequate. After waiting another 10 days for replacement lenses based on new measurements, those were disregarded by the factory, and the replacements were no better. Now I'm being told that the digital driver is indeed the right lens for my needs. I've lost faith in this company and will seek a refund to go to an optician who understands what they are doing.

For my 75-year-old father's appointment, we arrived about seven minutes past the scheduled time, which was within the stated 10-minute grace period. However, we then had to wait in line just to check in. When we finally reached the desk, we were informed that the appointment had to be cancelled because we were considered 'more than 10 minutes late,' despite the delay being due to the branch's own check-in queue and not our arrival time. This felt particularly inconsistent given our prior experiences at this location. On other occasions, both my sister and I checked in on time for our own appointments but still waited 30–45 minutes to be seen. During those visits, the atmosphere seemed very hectic, indicating the branch might be operating beyond its capacity. We selected this service partly due to workplace vouchers, but in comparison to our previous provider, the service appeared less organized, less flexible, and of a lower overall standard. While the staff were friendly and professional, it seemed more like a systemic issue rather than a reflection of individual performance. I hope this feedback aids others in making an informed choice and encourages improvements in scheduling and customer flow at this location.
The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, assisting me from booking the appointment to the testing and following up to ensure I didn't miss any appointments after receiving my glasses. The representative at the local branch was especially supportive. I highly recommend this service, and I'm thoroughly enjoying my glasses, especially with the buy one get one free offer on the designer range. Very satisfied!
After completing the eye test, I was recommended to get new glasses. An assistant helped me find some frames, and up to that point, everything was satisfactory. However, the glasses were made incorrectly, and the frames were not suitable. After five visits to the shop, I finally met someone who acknowledged that the frames were inadequate and the lenses were incorrect. I now have glasses that fit properly with the right lenses.
We're discussing a very crowded retail location. The staff were friendly, but unfortunately, the ladies who assisted me seemed to misplace my order and then shifted the blame onto me. It's disappointing when trying to promote a product, and the staff appear disinterested. They informed customers it would take two weeks for glasses, but mine arrived in five days without any communication from them. Overall, the experience was quite poor, and it felt like the staff would rather be anywhere else. The pricing for glasses is reasonable, but paying a premium for two pairs should include all necessary accessories. Yet, it feels like a rip-off, which is typical here.
Superb after sales service ... ALL staff very professional and polite ... problem with glasses sorted by Alex and Chris who took ownership of my problem and sorted it... if all other outlets were as committed to customer satisfaction as Specsavers, the UK would be a better place ...
