I have been going to Specsavers Witney since I was a child. However, my experience this Sunday, when I went to collect my glasses, was appalling.I had an appointment booked for 10:00am. Upon arrival, I was directed to the back of the room. Previously, the process involved being seated at a free desk to be seen, but this appears to have changed. A very inexperienced young lad was managing the glasses collection and was taking a long time to work through the growing queue. Appointments were not being honoured, and walk-ins were moving ahead of those who had booked.A man with a hearing impairment was also waiting and seemed unaware of the new process. As walk-ins continued to go ahead of him, he remained seated and was being ignored. I pointed this out to a staff member as I walked out, so I hope this was addressed.I finally received my glasses at 10:45am. The staff member briefly asked if they looked alright on my face, to which I replied yes, expecting some form of fitting check. However, he made no attempt to adjust them and instead told me I might need to come back in a few weeks for a readjustment. This brief interaction was not useful, and I would have preferred to have the glasses delivered to my home if no expertise was going to be provided at this stage. This experience falls far below the standard I have come to expect from Specsavers. To be clear, I do not blame the young lad, as he was clearly undertrained and left to manage a difficult situation alone.I was not the only customer who left feeling frustrated, and I will be reconsidering where I take my business in future.
2 pairs glasses ordered but only 1 arrived when I went to pick them up. No call to apologise or inform me as I was told would happen. I now have to go back another time to pick up the second pair. No issue with staff seen during my appointments just after service not upto par.
I'm not impressed at all this time with the service my Barbour glasses have been changed once after only a few days and have now had to pay more money for Vivien Westwood frames as the Barbour glasses faulty again. I'm was promised the glasses today but had a message saying there not ready. Will not be using Specsavers again, felt rushed into picking out new frames by assistant standing over me not a good experience
Went specsavers Bromley today to get a second pair after picking up my glasses last week was greeted by two young ladies who I told what I required who unfortunately did not have a clue told me that they would need to talk to someone else so I waited and waited in the end I told them I better go and ask somebody else myself then and they agreed I asked someone else and I looked at frames with no help from them they just walked away I they had to find somebody else who I will say was very helpful and helped me to make my choice I will say the two young ladies who greeted me only started today so really should be working with a trained member of staff and the person who then walked away should be more customer focused
The lady that actually did my eye test was very good. However, when I went down to choose my frames for my new glasses, one distance and one reading, I was told I was not eligible for the offer of by one get one free because it was two separate prescriptions. This was not on the display you had for that offer, so that was extremely disappointing and annoying. To make things worse, when I went to collect my prescription yesterday, I asked the lady who served me, if I need to get an extra pair for each of my glasses would I get the offer of buy 1 get 2nd free, she said yes!! Basically got mugged off the first time. I will write directly to the store
Dropped into Specsavers in an emergency as my glass frames had broken. I saw an advisor who dealt with me immediately and was able to go back to the Newton Abbot branch just two and a half days later to collect my new specs. The young lady in question was very caring, super efficient and highly professional. Thank you so much. Your kindness was simply amazing.
We have been going to the Marlborough branch for a number of years, but this is the first time I can say that I am 100% satisfied with everything. The new Director, Mark, is superb! He listens, is very knowledgeable and will give opinions with tact and discretion (especially as I wanted some bright green glasses)! He has a good sense of humour and both my husband and I felt that we had a good rapport with him.He is also smartly dressed - something that has been lacking in Marlborough. He is a huge asset to the business.
