Feudal techno lords

Another company that wants your data. I signed up for this gym, cause I can go with a friend. That can only go with me five times a month. Now why should my friend download and app that he would only use 5 times a month or less. Why should I use a app, take up space on my phone to use the gym. While Sportcity takes my data and sells it to the highest bidder. What happen to just having a sign in sheet at the door, or RFID card. Everything has to go via the app. Sick and tired of these techno feudal lords that want all your data, and monetize every little thing. Gyms use to have a water cooler, where you could of gotten some water, now you have yanga, you have to pay extra for that on a monthly basis. F&*k this, companies have shittier customer service, monetize everything, paying a monthly fee is not enough anymore. F&*k these types of companies. Done with these types of company, what happened to delivering a good service. Invest your money in a home gym, this is what company cultures have become. I have no problem paying for a good service, but I am not cashcow, I am tired of these types greedy companies looking to make quick buck and looking to monetize everything in their controlled environment. It feels like going to the cinema where you pay for overpriced water, and have poor customer service. Boycott these types of companies.

Been a member of Fit 4 Free since 2013.

Been a member of Fit 4 Free since 2013.I never used my log in credentials because I didn't need 2. Now that it changed to Sport City, I have to use my online credentials. I went to their and they told me i have to do it online. But i can't log in that the problem. I also can't contact them through the phone. They literally make it impossible to cancel your subscription and to contact them. So now I can't use their gym and I can't can't cancel my membership, while I still have to pay each month for my subscription. These people are SCAMMERS!!!

Extremely rude and aggressive female…

Extremely rude and aggressive female young staff at the Sport City Den Haag, Babylon. I recently witnesses an incident at Sport City Den Haag Babylon. The incident occurred yesterday when I observed a female staff member, with short stature and long black hair, displaying extremely rude and aggressive behavior. I witnessed this young staff member abruptly opening the doors of both the steam room and the Finnish sauna, without any regard for the individuals already inside. When questioned by one of the sauna-goers, who inquired about the reason for this, the staff member coldly mentioned that it was for cleaning purposes, despite it being 20 minutes before the gym's scheduled closure! The sauna user politely suggested that a simple knock on the door would have sufficed, and requested just one more minute before closing the door. The staff member refused to accommodate this reasonable request, instead reopened the door immediately. The situation escalated when the staff member began insisting on the sauna user's membership number and demanded an immediate departure from the gym. When the sauna user attempted to use the other Finnish sauna she was informed that that sauna was closing 15 minutes before the gym's scheduled closure. Throughout this ordeal, the staff member followed the sauna user aggressively, even while she was dressing, reprimanding her in a confrontational manner, while the staff was standing fully clothed and the lady was sitting down trying to get dressed. This incident raises serious concerns about the procedures used, Abruptly opening the doors of a sauna is not only rude but also displays an aggressive disregard for the comfort and privacy of the customers. This incident also raises serious concerns about the professionalism and training of the young staff involved. It is my hope that Sport City Den Haag Babylon takes this feedback seriously and addresses the need for improved training to ensure a more positive and respectful environment. I would also considering firing the young staff, considering the seriousness of her aggressive behaviour.

Scam Gym

Just a scam gym like many others, not letting you cancel your membership, making things confusing and sneaking payments and the worst customer service. Just pick a different gym to not deal with all the bull

The worst customer service support

The worst customer service support, they don’t have a contact number where you can call, they take ages to reply your email and they charge fees that is not written the contract. Be very careful before signing a contract with them. I do not recommend at all.

Trying to scam me for 38 euros when I haven’t been a member since 2019! September 2023 they sent me a reminder to pay 38 euros immediately followed by an e-mail that said it was incorrect and that I should ignore the e-mail. This month I get an e-mail from Cannock (debt collecting agency) that I have to pay 78 euros? The “customer” service does not understand what is going on at all and is giving me unsatisfactory answers and are completely trying to scam me.

They scam people for money

They scam people for money. Be careful. I bought 4 weeks subscription, after four weeks I lost access to my app, but logically I paid almost 35€ for a month subscription, that automatically should expire after this time. I don’t have any membership card or the access to the app and they are sending me emails with outstanding balance to pay - 70€ for two months… there is no communication with them and the customer service is rude and they still try to scam you and force you to pay for the services you didn’t use or want. They just told me even if you indicate you only buy for four weeks you still need to cancel it yourself. Nobody say this when you purchase your four weeks subscription.

Disappointing service

I am quite disappointed by SportCity this time, as I am a returning customer. Being only in Rotterdam for a month, I attempted to cancel my subscription during the first month of usage, in order to not pay for a second month. I understood this was the deal I was getting into. However it seems that I was not allowed to do so because they have a policy stating that if the subscription was made online, customers have to pay for at least two months. To me that was quite unclear and really came as a surprise. I then decided to email customer service, on 30th of Jan, and after a total of 3 emails, I get a reply today, on the 22nd of Feb. More than 3 weeks to answer by email, I find this very slow. Of course by then, I was charged the second month. I have enjoyed the gym in itself, its employees in the gyms are kind. But such unclear rules put me off. I will not come back to Sport City, as I regularly return to Rotterdam for work.

The manager (Ruben) at Spaarneboog is a very unpleasant person. He has zero customer relations experience. After asking him to look for a towel I left the night before. He pointed to a spot and insisted I stand there. When I questioned him on this he said if I didn't the police would be called and remove me from the premises. I then said I would leave the gym and his response was he didn't care. This is the manager, he doesn't care! All over a missing towel. What a way to treat a 70 years old person.

Very Money Grabbing.

Very Money Grabbing.I was desperately trying to cancel my membership as they secretly hiked the price very high after my yearly membership ended - with no communication. They are very difficult to get a hold as they have no customer service to contact, just an email in which I never got a reply from.I would avoid as there are many other better options for gyms.
