As an English resident in Spain, I faced poor internet connectivity in the countryside. After discussing with friends, I decided to try a satellite internet option, ordering the equipment on November 18, 2025. By December 1, I was still waiting. The tracking indicated that the parcel, shipped from Germany, couldn't be delivered due to unpaid import fees and was redirected to the local postal service. They claimed they attempted delivery but failed to locate my address, which often means no effort was made. I reached out to the satellite provider and the postal service, but both used chatbots that directed me back and forth, leaving me without answers. It's frustrating that the company invests heavily in technology yet neglects customer service. Unfortunately, my experience has been negative, and I can't recommend their service. They need to improve their customer support.
As an English resident in rural Spain, I've found the internet service here to be lacking. After discussing with friends, I decided to try the Starlink option and placed my order for the dish on November 18, 2025. However, as of December 1, I'm still waiting for the equipment to arrive. It appears the dish was shipped from Germany via DHL, but after 10 days, I noticed on the tracking that delivery couldn't be completed due to unpaid import fees. The parcel was then handed over to the Spanish postal service, which claimed they attempted delivery but couldn't find my address—indicating they likely didn't make a real effort. I've reached out to Starlink, DHL Germany, and the Spanish postal service, but all I get are automated responses directing me to check with each entity, and none have any information on my parcel. It's frustrating that while Starlink invests heavily in product development, they seem to neglect their customer service. A product is only as good as the service backing it. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Starlink based on this experience and urge them to improve their customer support.
If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. I bought the device during a holiday sale to benefit from the discounts and the so-called "Free 30-day trial," which turned out not to be free. I paid for the equipment, but it malfunctioned and kept shutting off on the first day. On the second day, I received a bill for $165 for the "Free" trial month, and although I returned it within the given time frame, I still haven't seen the $165 credited back. Additionally, I had to cover return shipping costs, which were not mentioned during the promotion. Customer service was unhelpful; I could only interact with an AI bot before placing my order and had to wait several days for a response. I sent the device back within two weeks and am still awaiting my refund. This feels like a classic bait-and-switch scheme, and I've had to dispute the charge with my bank, which has been waiting for over 20 days for the refund to process. My next steps will involve contacting the relevant state authorities, the Better Business Bureau, and the Federal Trade Commission.
Living in a rural area has its challenges, especially with internet access. We tried various providers without success until I discovered this satellite option. It was easy to set up, the app is user-friendly, and I can manage device usage effectively. The signal has been consistently strong. Recently, we switched to fiber, but the service I received for €35 was well worth it.
If it were possible, I would rate this service with zero stars. I purchased a device during a promotional sale, hoping to benefit from discounts and a trial period that turned out to be misleading. After receiving the equipment, it malfunctioned on the first day. The next day, I received a bill for $165 for the supposed free trial, and despite returning the device within 14 days, I haven't seen a refund. Additionally, I had to pay for return shipping, which was not disclosed during the promotion. Customer service is unhelpful, relying solely on a chatbot, and I am still waiting for my refund after disputing the charge with my bank. This feels like a classic bait-and-switch scheme, and I plan to escalate the matter to relevant authorities.
My experience with this satellite service was nothing short of disastrous. They sent the satellite, but it failed to work. After several days of unproductive troubleshooting with customer support, I requested a refund. I switched to another provider that works fine. Surprisingly, a week later, the company said they would send an installer to set everything up at my home, despite me already returning the satellite. I still haven't received my refund, and they've claimed it can take 2-4 weeks. The reason given for the failure was too many trees on my property. Overall, this has been the worst service experience I've had, far worse than any previous providers.
I have faced numerous challenges trying to return the equipment. Shipping delays occurred, and I struggled to understand how to use it. Now, I can't figure out how to return it, and customer support is unreachable. This has been a terrible experience, and I can't even cancel my subscription. It feels like a lawsuit waiting to happen.
