When we walked into & Other Stories at Edinburgh’s St. James Place and not one person said hello or asked if they could help us. There were three sales advisors standing around chatting and ignored us. Walked around the store and not one member of staff acknowledged us. Went to the counter to pay for an item and the sales advisor didn’t have the courtesy to even say hello and just wrung me up and I paid. Having worked customer service at a retail store the first thing you say to a customer that walks in is “Hello, is there anything I can help you find” and once the customer was at a till I’d ask them if they found everything to their liking and “thank you”. Update: I received an email from Dune and I was asked to contact customer service which I did and have not received a reply. Disappointed and will not shop with Dune again.
Avoid ordering from this company!!!I ordered a bag on 6th August which the courier apparently returned due to damages. I’m still waiting on the refund Customer service very unhelpful and wouldn’t even offer a discount code as a goodwill gesture. Will never order from them again. I can see I’m no alone
I wish I could leave no stars. Absolute joke trying to speak to & other stories customers service. Trying to check progress of my order which was meant to be delivered within 4-5 working days. Received an email telling my my order has been shipped and to track this with the shipping company. Tried tracking it but on the shipping company tracking link - it was showing that they are still waiting to receive from order from & other stories. Called customer service, they said due to their large volume of orders, sending out orders is taking longer than expected. The customer service person then said to me - in future if I urgently need an item I should go to stores and purchase it there. SERIOUSLY!!! I replied saying I placed the order online simply because it was out of stock in store and did not say I was in desperate need of the item. I went in store, saw the dress but unfortunately my size wasn’t available in any stores. So the only option I had was to order online. Total disgrace to & Other Stories for putting your customers through this.
Other stories is one of my go-to high street brands as you can find some decent pieces with all natural fabric. Quality can be a hit or miss sometimes so I look carefully. They dont sell the smallest (and biggest) size in store so I shop from them online mostly. Generally decent delivery and smooth returns both by post and in store.
Seems like quality offered by & Other Stories has significantly decreased over the past three years. Clothes are either delivered damaged or fall apart within next six month's of use. Not worth the price, not worth the effort. Customer Service lacks common sense.Now they are also charging 4EUR for a return PER ORDER, which is shocking! Another way just to make more profits scamming unaware customers... Not a way to go, & Other Stories.
Shocking customer service. Incompetent call centre staff who struggle to understand. I’ve made 4 calls now and all I would like to do is to speak to someone in my local store about an item that’s in store but told this is not possible. Customer service team were so rude and so unhelpful. I won’t drive an 80 mile round trip to purchase something unless I know it’s in stock. What’s happened to you &otherstories… Customer service is so paramount in this day and age and yet yours is so severely lacking.
Really disappointed to find Other Stories have deducted £3 from my refund on a cardigan I returned. Beware, another retailer sneaking in a return fee. If instead they could do better at standardising their sizes and better reflecting the actual nature and quality of the goods they sell on line we’d all be better off. Won’t be shopping there again.
Dreadful customer service, I’ve been waiting nearly a month for a refund, still haven’t had it yet .I’ve called customer service twice who lie to you by saying the refund will be in your account this week .Also I spoke to a rude supervisor to make a complaint and he insulted me by saying that in 2021 one of my refund parcels never arrived at their warehouse and I was paid out !Basically he was calling me a thief!I informed him that I had a receipt for proof of postage , so the matter should have been taken up with the postal company.I’ll never shop there again , as still waiting for my £250 refund!
If I could rate zero stars I would. I have ordered a belt 3 times and each time the wrong item has been sent. The telephone customer service is utterly useless and a complete waste of time. The final straw is that I was charge a £3 re-stocking fee for returning the belt which wasn’t the one I’d ordered.
