Review Time
The chap was very nice but all I needed was a new washer which he couldn't source, amazing don't they carry spares! He went looking and was away for about 2 hours. I complained but after he had botched the joint I was still charged for an hours work. Even he said this companies charge are a rip off. Wish I had found a local chap, even 2 days wait would have been better. Expect I will now have to get someone else in after Christmas to do a proper job!!!
One star is flattering them, absolute sharks, AVOID AT ALL COSTS. My other half found their number in a panicked Google search whilst our pipe was leaking under the bath onto the kitchen ceiling, which then fell through. Plumber arrived and wouldn’t touch the job until terms and conditions signed (should’ve rang alarm bells) in a panicked state I obliged. Plumber disappeared for around an hour to get parts (two bits of plasterboard) landed with a total bill of £3250 for a small bit of pipe and two sheets of plasterboard shoved up as very temporary ceiling fix!!!!!! Including admin charge of £349. To be paid immediately or they won’t leave the address/refer to a debt collection agency. Complete cowboys.
Hi . Do not use this company. In my boiler I had an error coming up . No hot water or heating also. I wanted the plumber to cancelled it. I called sift plumbers and after 1 hour work he burnt the mother board in my boiler. We were made to pay £441 for braking our boiler and no further help was offered.
Awful experience! Charged a call out (fine) then £199 an hour, plus admin, plus VAT. It doesn't seem they have a set hourly rate, just charging whatever they can get away with The man who repaired our boiler did an awful job, I had to put the boiler casing back on and he didn't sort out the pressure and check all was working properly before he left. As others have said very intimidating to be demanded to pay before the man will leave. He also stank of cigarette smoke which is a smelly that hung around in the kitchen for hours. Once the work had been completed there was no attempt to clean up. Also no warning that he was going to make A LOT of noise when it was very clear there were children in the house. Not expecting a quiet repair, but courtesy to warn us so someone could go upstairs to comfort the girls if they woke up. Was also told the engineer was five minutes away when he actually hadn't left to get to us at all. I did try and cancel him attending at all because I had doubts about using them.Uncourteous, rude, intimidating, belittling, expensive and most importantly have not done a good job.
SCAM !!! Crazy prices and really hold you to the balls when it comes to heating in winter months. Luckily the plumber that attended the visit was very professional, kind and attentive to the situation. First they told us we will have someone with in the hour. One finally turned up 5 hours later. They charge a high call out fee of £69 and then a further £235 per hour and an admin fee ontop of all that of £45 lol. Not sure what thats about. All that excl VAT. total bill came in at £419.52 - a bit crazy. Again very important to clairfy the plumber that came out was a real pro and very nice lad. Shame the company he works for is a bit of a.... Avoid!
Plumber was professional and helpful, but prices are utterly ridiculous and not transparent. They’re emailing about prices when the plumber is already out therefore even if you’re not happy would cost £69. They charge an hourly rate of 250 on top plus admin fee plus VAT. Cost me £440 for a broken tap change.. will never use them again.
