Avoid Swift Plumbers – Daylight Robbery!I’ve never felt more scammed in my life. I called Swift Plumbers to install and replace a simple kitchen tap—a straightforward job. On the phone, the lady clearly told me it would be £50 for the call-out plus labour costs. When the plumber arrived, he said the labour would be £69, and I specifically asked if that covered everything. He confirmed, so I thought, “Great, let’s get it done.”The job took 45 minutes—nothing complicated. But then came the shocker: an invoice for £494.04. Yes, you read that right—nearly £500 for under an hour of work to install a tap. Absolutely outrageous.This is blatant price gouging with hidden fees they never mentioned upfront. It’s unethical, deceptive, and feels like a total con. Companies like this should not be allowed to operate.If you’re considering using Swift Plumbers—DON’T. Save yourself the hassle, stress, and money. Find a company that’s honest about their pricing.
Me and my partner had just moved in our house together and the boiler was not working so we rang the company and sent out someone straight away. The whole company is a total scam. The guy had come out and told us to agree to all the T&C’s before he started any work, and told us it was a switch on the boiler which had corroded and he convinced us that would solve the problem that was happening with the boiler. Then, he told us he would have to come back a different to do it so if we paid him the call out fee and a hours work which was near £400 he would come out and solve the issue. He came back out a few days later replaced the switch and then told us it didn’t work and that there was nothing he could do and for us to ring someone else to fix it and practically ran out of the door to get away with robbing us of £400. The way they took advantage of me and my partner was disgusting. We rang up after the incident hoping to get a refund and just complain about how the man treated us and we got nothing from them, we emailed and rang up many times and heard nothing back from them. Me and partner were so stressed and taken advantage of for being new home owners and it was disgusting how they treated us over the phone.
Would go for -1 if I could. 45 minuite turn around my a££. Called 8.30pm. Midnight still no trade. "His job has over run he'll call you when on the way should be soon"... in the time i was waiting dealt with 3 different call handlers. All read the same script.
