Daniel was super helpful and came out for an emergency situation. Something that I had no idea about how to deal with and he managed to locate and fix the issue and wrote us a great clear report so we can do further work to the whole system to make sure it never happens again. Great job and was also very timely with it. Thumbs up
I had a major problem with my drains and sewage late at night, I had dirty sewage water coming up into my downstairs wet room, toilet and sink was also blocked. I requested a call back from swift plumbers, i panicked and I just rang the first company that came up when I searched on Google. I got a call back within 5 minutes and Dan arrived 10 minutes later. He took one look in the wet room and went outside to check the drains and when he lifted the first man hole he was shocked, it was nearly full to the top with toilet waste, the 2nd man hole was just as bad. He rang his bosses and I spoke to a lady who explained the price, it was a £69 call out charge which turned into £82.80 with VAT and would be £239 an hour, I didn't have the money to hand so she said he couldn't do the work without payment that night, Dan left and said he would be back in the morning if I had payment, I panicked again as I was told we couldn't use the toilet all night so i rang family for help, I could agree to payment so rang back and Dan and a colleague was back with in 10 minutes, Dan said he would try and get the work done within the hour but that soon changed and I was informed it was the worst blockage he had ever seen, it took around 2 hours to clear the blockage. They explained everything to me and told me the cause of the blockage, they cleaned everything up and left no mess at all.The final bill was £578, they kindly charged me half price for the second hour which I am greatful for, I'm not too pleased about the admin fee of £62.85, the VAT fee was £96.37, I don't know about VAT prices so not sure if that's good or not.I have to say I am very happy with the work done, they did work hard in a very messy, smelly situation and it was very cold and late at night. I think the overall price for the work done was sufficient, im not happy with having to pay over £500 out 3 weeks before Christmas though, but I had no choice. I am very thankful to Dan and his colleague for the work done.
First they say £69 for call out and then after arriving they ask you to agree to a document where charge is £249 for an hour before they touch the machine. After that they go on a call with another person to understand the problem wasted one hour and asked to leave they asked for £500+ fee, as many have stated here before. I refused to pay then after leaving made an anonymous call to emerncy services and stated that there is a gas leak in my house. I have compained to to the police, trading standards and will send them legal notice as well. Look at their response , they just have a custom made response which they copy paste for for every negative comments. Do not trust whatever they say, just avoid and report them if you are a victim.
I don't know how plumbing company like this are allowed to operate business. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE AVOID this company. They make tou sign a contract saying 69 pound to turn up and then 240.00 an hour for just a simple job. Followed by plumber delaying a simple work for.4 hours. They are a totally scam. They charged me 826.62 pounds for a job they even didn't rectify. An ADMIN Fee of 89.00 why admin fee. I hope authorities catch you for you scamming hardworking people. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE TOTALLY SCAM.
I, like so many others here, had a shocking experience with Swift Plumbers. They were at my house for 30 minutes, did not fix the problem and charged me £550. They will only EVER do that once.Many others here have suffered in similar circumstances. I gave Swift Plumbers, also by the way known as Emergency Engineers Limited, plenty of opportunity to provide a partial refund against their ludicrous invoice but they ignored me. I warned them I would report them to Trading Standards which I have now done. I'll probably sue them too.They have ripped off the wrong person this time.
Complete charlatans. Used coercion and intimidation to extort huge amounts for actually accomplishing nothing. Literally nothing. Turns out the issue wasn't on my property, but they still managed to spend 3 hours trying to fix it. I actually took them to court and the court found in my favour, but then they flat out refused to pay. Unfortunately, they operate from home, so if I did send the bailiffs in , they would just claim that nothing belongs to the business. So I am out of pocket for £1,250 and I still had to pay to get the problem fixed!
Awful plumbing company - stay far away from them. They are exploitative in high stress situations and I ended up paying over £1,000 for a simple leak to be fixed. The male plumber then refused to leave my property (I am a young woman) until I paid in full. They are now unwilling to settle the dispute in a reasonable way.
