Please avoid. The plumber himself was lovely and very helpful and my heating is now working, however the company is really taking advantage of people who need emergency help. We paid over £500 for a twenty mins job. The hourly fee, booking fee and then a highly dubious admin fee, plus VAT all mounted up. They don’t show you the full list of fees until the plumber is on site. I’m sure there are more reasonable options even in an emergency.
Any rating above 2* has to be made by a friend or fake.. Just plain and simple rip off. Told on the phone, it would be 89£ ended up being asked for £502.67 after 15mins interventionPlease Never agree to any contract send by email under the pressure of the engineer (they could have sent before arrival but of course that would have made things to good for the customer, as they would have refused). Fyi the engineer, who couldn’t fix the problem, was supposed to call the next morning to make progress but never did. Guess it was easier to attend £500 calls with very little to do.
I wish I read the reviews below before booking this company. As several reviewers described below, this company is taking advantage of vulnerable people in emergency situations, who do not have time to spot things like VAT and admin fees in a contract sent via email once the plumber is already in the house. I was charged £941 for a job that was 1 hour and 20 minutes, including engineer going to the shops for parts. Please do not make the same mistake as me and avoid using this company at all cost
The worst plumbers I have ever encountered, a plumber came ordered me to pay him just to look at the taps, He told me straight away the cost of the job, assuming that I couldn't afford it, and how this is just for an emergency call out only, he then told me putting new taps will cost 299,excluding the taps. The way he spoke to me was so rude and I couldn't think about paying for thus job.He told me to pay 79.99 for emergency call out now, excluding vat. And then told me that if I pay through the company, I will have pay vat. He stood next me until I made a payment to his personal account. He didn't examine the job properly, I explained that my hubby had made the call out,but his interest was the money, he wanted to get out as soon as possible, and pick up another job.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS Appallingly aggressive sales tactics. Having been let down by British Gas homecare who couldn’t come out for 5 days, I found swift plumbers online and asked them to come and fix my boiler. They quoted an £89 call out fee which seemed ok, and that they would be round in 90 mins. The plumber arrived, and then in order for them to do any work I was asked to accept the terms and conditions of an email- when I noticed that in addition to the £89 plus VAT I would also be charged £295 an hour with every part of one hour £295 (so 1 hour 1 minute would be £590).When I called to ask why it was was so Astronomically expensive the call handlers were rude to me. I refused to pay and just paid the call out charge (which I now regret). This is price gauging plain and simple. I can imagine some people fall for this and end up paying £1000 for simple plumbing jobs- avoid avoid avoid.
Great plumber - Shakil was helpful, friendly and efficient. He solved the problem quickly for us and we were really grateful.I wish the company had spelled out the costs up front instead of only explaining them after the plumber had arrived. I won’t make that mistake again.
They're charging for only 10 min one hour like 279£ my pipe from sink of the kitchen was unblocked in 2 hours and 8 min plus the guy trying to pull the time to charge me more, when he come for call out 70£ he didn't tell me exactly what is the problem and how long time will be done ,thi is on of trick by them, when they send me the invoice I was shocked what saw ,1293.06£ because they put 3 hours but exactly was 2h and 8 min,I called the agency I explained what happened an she was confused and she requested to spik with engineer about this after she come back to me and she said i have to pay all this money but I didn't, I deal with them, I said I'm not pay all this money but I will pay only 2 hours totally was 908£ with vat 20% plus fee plus 30£ parts. When I tried to transfer money the bank didn't let me to pay ,and I call the bank and I explained the reason with this transfer they ask me if I'm sure to pay all this money for this job because they're thinking it's a scam and lots of money for only that job and finally the bank approved the transfer but asked many time about this.PLEASE DON'T CALL THEM anymore, !!!!!!!!!!they pull you to pay lots of money for nothing that was my Christmas bad day loss money for this job
I had an extremely disappointing experience with this company. The engineer who attended failed to resolve the drainage issue despite spending three hours on site using inadequate tools, including a plunger, which is not what I would expect from a professional drainage company. To make matters worse, I was misled into believing the blockage was the responsibility of Thames Water. After contacting Thames Water, they confirmed the issue was internal and not related to the main lines—contrary to what this company claimed.I had to call another company, who resolved the problem within an hour using proper equipment such as a camera and industrial machinery, demonstrating the stark difference in professionalism and capability. The billing practices were equally concerning. I was charged £1,000 for a service that failed to deliver results, including a 15% administration fee that was never explained. This lack of transparency and overcharging feels like a deliberate attempt to take advantage of customers.I cannot recommend this company and would urge others to avoid them. Based on my experience, their service is substandard, their billing practices are questionable, and they lack the professionalism expected in this industry.
These guys are criminals. Do not use them. They pray on people in an emergency. Send you T’s & C’s to sign under pressure, won’t start the job until you sign and won’t leave site until you have paid. What was a 30 min job we were charged £900 for. I called to question the amount was threatened with small claims court, debt collectors and being charged another hour if I didn’t pay in time. They have a wonderful process and are knowingly ripping good people off. I hope they sleep well at night with all the money they are making. The week before Christmas as well.
