I just had a scary experience with the talabat driver. He kicked my gate to open the door. Is this how your treat someone’s property. I confronted him and he said what’s wrong in that. He was so rude and obnoxious. I felt he was going to attack me. Answering back and said proudly I’ll cancel the order. I have never met an evil person like him. Absolutely horrible.
Very disappointed with this app. The app was lagging while making the order and charged me two times, for the order that never went through to the restaurant. Called restaurant to check on my order, they never received. so ordered directly from them and made payment, that was delivered promptly. Talabat never returned payment saying it not their problem, but bank problem.
On 05/08/2021 I have placed McDonald's order for delivery through Talabat. As shown in the "order summary" I have placed an order for Large Chicken Mac Meal (Without Lettuce, Without Mayonnaise, Without American Cheese). Basically, a plain sandwich for my 10 year old son. When I received the delivery, the bag was sealed having the delivery receipt on the outside mentioning the same order details as shown on my Talabat order. When my son opened the order to enjoy his meal he found a SPICY Grand Chicken Sandwich with extra Jalapeños and all add ons. I have called Talabat and informed them that I received a wrong order and send them the photo of the sandwich pack + the receipt on the sandwich packaging (which has all the details of the sandwich). At 1:30am I received a call back from Talabat Customer Service informing me that they also need a photo of the INGREDIENTS INSIDE THE SANDWICH!!! I informed the customer service that is the most ridiculous request I have ever received. You are calling me 1:30am asking for photo of the INGREDIENTS!! Though I have went an extra mile and provided a photo of what I received. Any reputable delivery company that has the bare minimum standards will apologise for this and have the meal replaced (which costs AED 32/-). However, I was shocked when the customer service informed me that they will not be able to replace without photo of the INGREDIENTS. I informed him how about also sending someone to taste the sandwich and check whether it is spicy or not!!! If there is a minus rating I would have given for this review but unfortunately "0" is the minimum. Not for the meal that was wasted or the value of the meal but for the type of response you get from these companies and how they respond back to customers. Such companies should not be allowed to operate without having minimum standards for consumer rights, supervision and customer satisfaction.
Talabat used to be an efficient application. Not anymore! It has been several months now they are having lack of staff (drivers) and once you place an order it takes them ONE HOUR to give the order to the restaurant because talabat is not having drivers to provide! And of course they will not tell you that! They will keep on apologising without highlighting that is THEIR FAULT and not the restaurant’s fault! You are taking commission from the restaurants that re using your app and you do not have drivers to provide to them? You are causing more harm than good to the restaurants! My order took 1 hour to be accepted due to this and i had to cancel as its too late and i ended up starving. You better fix this as it is really becoming an issue. And it is not restaurants fault but yours! You want to run an app, run it PROPERLY! Or don't. If you don't have drivers do not accept the order at first place! Not having the order pending 1 hour to be accepted! Unacceptable! To happen once in a while, understandable but every single time?! I am deleting this application and i am downloading so many other alternatives which they do have drivers to cover the whole Qatar! When you will decide to hire enough drivers to cover the demand and manage to run your app efficiently i might start using talabat again. Till that time though, it will be no more talabat on my phone.
