Incorrect pricing

I put items in my cart that totaled about 80Yuan. That should be roughly $20 Australian. When I went to check out it said $AU177. I did not proceed with the transaction. That includes a Y40 reduction as I'm a first time customer. So I should only have had to pay $AU10. I would love to shop direct from China, but only from sellers I can trust.

not foreigner friendly, you'll get scammed

not foreigner friendly.i installed it via google playstore.there wasn't or nothing much about getting an active passport for registration through alipay. you need a passport, images too. what happened to me & a post on reddit happened 2 3 years ago (just search reddit "taobao account reatricted" , it might happen to you too. once i made the payment, i scrolled through the ads for shoes then suddenly i got this restriction login that's literally meaning I'm being banned. i can hardly remember taobao account number since china loves giving weird long characters for user's name like it's a password. via app, i logged in with google which is easier. then their website has nothing else except with phone number as user's name. wth taobao wanted an app on playstore then scamming foreigners not familiar with china policy especially the developer of this app based in singapore with lazada in the address.

Don’t bother with brother Taobao

I’ve used Taobao English for the first time and I am annoyed. I wasn’t given option and had to pay for home delivery. Home delivery = parcel delivered at recipient address. And two weeks later no communication from Taobao and here is what happen:Cainiao was automatically chosen as home delivery but they do not deliver to village homes like Sf Express or any other decent courrier do. None of the tracking numbers I was given worked in any  system.Not even in Cainiao tracking system. The driver gave me a 10 minutes notice to come to HIS address in a village different from mine when I was at work in town. Impossible for me to come back or even try finding someone to help. I explain all of that to Cainiao driver and I asked him what was the plan but he sent a “package rejected by recipient » to Taobao system without giving me any option.These practices are from both companies are deceiving; waste of time and energy. That was two weeks ago and I am still waiting for Taobao and Cainiao to advise on my next move. Therefore I gave them two options:1- delivery using SF Express - yes they now work with taobao- to my home address without any additional cost for me2- or full refund both the products and the home delivery. The email address for Taobao english is not working. If someone has a tip on how to solve this…Thank you for your attention.

Horrible company

Horrible company. Will never buy from them again. The minute you buy big items or orders from them. The things go missing. Customer service sucks. Say will refund but always gone missing and full of new excuses. Horrible company.

Scammers

Purchased 3 items and cancelled orders of 3 other items. None of the items were delivered on the day the App said they would arrive. No warning from the delivery company when they do deliver. If no one is home, they just leave with no contact details so you are left chasing Taobao on the app. Took over a week to eventually get the items.As per refunds, cancelled orders within 5 mins of ordering and they did not refund the shipping costs even though the orders had not been processed and stated a full refund.Absolute scammers. At least Temu and Ali Express use reputable logistics companies so you can pick up from the post office if no one is home.

Completely a scam. Ordered in Jan, paid for expensive airmail, nothing was received. Request for fully refund, no one follows up and closed my disputes. Think trice before placing your order there.
