Review Time
This is a great website for items. However, it would be recommended to find an agent to help you source for the right seller. Do rely on the reviews, the more it has the safer it is. Though sometimes items might not be a great quality one but you pay for what you get.
BEWAR! STAY AWAY FORM THIS SITE. THEY DONT RESPONSIBLE IF THEY SHIP WRONG ITEMS. WE END UP LOOSE MONEY OR PAY FOR RETURN SHIPPING TO CHINA. MOST OF SELLER ON THAT SITE IS SIMPLY NASTY. CHINESE PEOPLE AR EMOST DISHONEST PEOPLE IN PLANET AS RESEARCH SHOWS THAT. IT IS THIRE CULTURE. THEY TREAT YOU LIKE WE ARE STUPID.
Seemed a little risky at first but after a few colleges managed to get items delivered and seemed to be happy with it, took the plunge and placed a few orders on their 11/11 sale.Items arrived faster than advertised, prices are great, well packaged, would definitely buy again.
This is a Chinese online shop, everything on it seems to be a little similar with the other companies. However, the price is pretty low , and something ( you need to keep your eyes, and select carefully ) would be great and nice quality. And they have a lot of small and useful things like :Anti-wolf spraySo, generally, it is a nice shop for me.Cause i am really good at pick!!!!!
Comparing with the American online shopping websites, Taobao has a lot more features. But their website is simply too buggy. I had to spend a lot of time to figure out how to get around their bugs. It makes me wonder whether this company ever have any quality control engineers.
They have strange practices - such as any customer can sign up an account with any email address, regardless whether this email address belongs to them or not. Although they never communicate with customer via email, I think this practice of using unverified email address to sign up is ridiculous.
My bad reviews for different sellers had disappeared. Taobao claims they cannot control sellers manipulate the reviews. But why would a review disappear? Why does Taobao allow sellers to delete reviews? Taobao is helping these sellers to be dishonest.
...since it's in China, there is no respect for intellectual property and no or little apparent enforcement for selling counterfeit goods. This is therefore fine if you are buying e.g. a packet of screws or a beach towel, but don't buy that Eastpak rucksack or Ug boots as you just can't guarantee they are genuine even if you are paying the genuine price. Other users do comment on whether things are genuine but how do they know...a good fake can fool anyone. The other issue is there is not a clear returns policy so no common rules which make it fair for everyone that are enforced universaly by Taobao e.g. you have to horsetrade with the seller on who will pay the return postage for example.
