My experience was straight forward

My experience was straight forward. The carrier from Annan in Scotland was a very nice guy and he was helpful too. It is worth mentioning however, that although the transport of my item went without any hitch, it does add substantially to the cost of the item. This obviously adds to the original cost and detracts from the saving made in buying from the ‘depot’ Consideration must also take into account, the fact that you have to deal with the disposal of the old item and the unpacking on the doorstep of the new ! If you live alone like me, this too detracts from the saving made ! However, all in all, I am happy with the item and I did save a little

Ben was amazing

The way Ben handled his big lutton van, driving and reversing his big lutton like it was a Mini.Only to relise it was wrong address.Wow he got out he was so upset about being late, but luckily my happy personality rub of onto him and suggested a name change to Frank as in Frank Spencer to us oldies.As he acts and looks exactly like Frank.

Excellent seamless service. And Frank the delivery driver was a gentleman. He brought the washing machine to the back of the house and got it to the kitchen with ease. 5 star service all round including communication.

Severely Damaged Grade A Fridge Freezer

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Appliance World was bad enough that I feel obligated to warn others.I purchased a Bosch fridge freezer from them that was advertised as “box damage only.” What was delivered was not minor packaging damage. The appliance itself was covered in dents and scratches — far beyond anything that could reasonably be described as cosmetic box damage. It felt completely misrepresented.To their credit, I did eventually receive a refund. However, it took them over a week to arrange collection of the damaged item. Fortunately, I was in a position where I could afford to purchase another fridge elsewhere in the meantime. Not everyone would be so lucky. Many people simply can’t afford to have that amount of money tied up while waiting nearly two weeks for a refund, effectively leaving them without a fridge.What’s particularly frustrating is that I had seen other reviews mentioning a pattern — damaged goods being delivered and then customers being offered a small partial refund once they complain. I chose to ignore those warnings, hoping my experience would be different. It wasn’t. It genuinely feels like part of their business model is to deliver items in worse condition than advertised and then offer a token discount to make customers accept it.The whole experience was stressful, inconvenient, and avoidable. I would strongly advise anyone considering buying from Appliance World to think very carefully and read the reviews before parting with their money.If this review helps someone avoid the hassle I went through, then at least something positive has come out of it.
