The Ritz was lovely. I took my mum this evening. However, it wasn't the 5* and polished service I have experienced at other Michelin star restaurants.During my starter the waiters tried to take away my starters on two occasions while I was Still eating, one of their colleagues spilt a bottle a wine on the floor a couple of.minutee later. I had also asked the waiter to not serve my second course until I had ordered my glass of wine (to accompany my 2nd course) which did not happen. I revived the second course (scallops) and then had to wait until I ordered my wine before I could enjoy them.I appreciate that these are all very minor flaws but it was not the polished experienced I had hoped for.Having said the above all the staff were extremely friendly and approachable and the food was out of this world.
I booked 4 nights at the Ritz then they sent me an email saying they were celebrating their 115th Birthday and guests would be given a night free, subject to availability. My plans changed so I rebooked the following week and they would not honour the advertisement as they said they did not have availability. Not sure how that works as they had confirmed they could give me the 4 nights the following week. They just would not honour their free additional night. I felt their advertisement was misleading and I felt it was a bit of a con. So I cancelled and we will go elsewhere.
Booked an Celebration Tea at The Ritz for my Cousins 60th birthday. This being the third time I had been for a Celebration Tea at The Ritz. Well the staff all made our visit an absolutely brilliant experience. Each time I've been it's got better. This one was the best and my Cousin thoroughly enjoyed herself. The waiters couldn't do enough for us and were very friendly. The whole experience was out of this world. If I could give 1 million stars I would, it was perfect and I'll definitely be going back. It's fantastic value for money and you're treated to the best Afternoon Tea there is. The pianist was playing again and he was brilliant and that helped create the mood.Thank you, thank you to The Ritz and the amazing staff.
It was my birthday afternoon tea whicj my friend booked for us and it was our first time there. When i picked my plate up i saw an big wasp type crawling under my plate and i called the waiter and showed him. They offered an champagne but we dont drink alcohol so brought non alcohol drink which didn't even taste nice as we were having our tea. When you waste £130 and end up seeing a wasp it kind of ruins your mood. No aircon it was so hot as we went there on the 8th of august 2020 ..wouldnt go there again as we were offered no alternatives at all
