I am very pleased with the service from this company. I received my second order today, and just like the first, everything was excellent. My two tarantulas arrived on time, well-packaged for transport, and are healthy. Any questions I had were answered promptly. I will definitely continue to use this store.
Simply fantastic! I received brilliant service on my first order. I was kept informed about shipping, and the spider arrived in excellent condition, clearly well cared for. I was so impressed that I placed a larger order a few weeks later, which arrived just as well packaged as the first, with all spiders being healthy and slightly larger than advertised. I will definitely be returning, as the stock list is always impressive.
I’ve left a review in the past after recently starting to shop here, but now I’ve probably done a couple dozen orders with them and they just never disappoint. They’re so friendly and so eager to help in any way that they can, and even once sent me a freebie on an order I placed for my birthday. I’ve fortunately never needed to use their live arrival guarantee but it’s so reassuring to know that it’s there, and as someone who tends to be a bit of over-emotional when it comes to animals they’ve also been really kind with reassuring me when parcels are running late because of issues with Royal Mail, and once when I unexpectedly urgently hospitalised and the spiders had to sit in the box inside my house for a couple of days (everything was fine, they were well packaged to survive the journey and the extra time in transit / box time). The only issue I’ve ever had is in getting in touch as the phone line tends to be super busy, but that’s kind of a testament to just how popular they are. Since I started using them they’ve become my absolute favourite source by far.
The spider shop have been amazing from start to finish. Slight delays in order due to Royal Mail and parcel force failing to collect purchase but TSS notified me immediately. When I had any questions about my order or the genus I went for they were fast in reply and even helped with enclosure and design recommendations. On day of delivery everything came exactly as planned packed with the animals care in mind. There were 3 boxes in total, one to hold everything packed with packing nuts holding everything secure. The enclosure itself was packed neatly in a box surrounded by styrofoam ensuring it survived the journey. The tarantula was securely packed in a tube, with plenty of ventilation and damp cloth. alongside cork bark, sphagnum moss and other equipment. These were held securely in place with packing peanuts. Overall I would like to say this has been a five star experience, the team at TSS are very friendly, informative and happy to help in any way they can. You can tell they hold themselves to the highest standard this industry has to offer. I will definitely be ordering from them again. I have ordered from the spider from getting my first ever tarantulas and still return all the time for food, equipment, new spiders. The reason im a loyal customer is because the staff are amazing, the quality is amazing and its very rare you have any problems but on the odd occasion you do the lads will sort it out without any fuss at all. They've been nothing but polite and very helpful, and I think their prices are amazing. You know what you're receiving is what you've ordered, no unwanted surprises, unless thats what you've asked for. I do buy from a few other online vendors but and its a bbl kind of but thespidershop.co.uk will always take first place for their info, descriptions of the spiders which are hilarious and very accurate, the quality of not just the spiders but the live food, the youtube demos, all other items I've purchased and last but by no means least the dedication and hard work the staff put in to running the store and always being lovely
Ordered two spiders along with enclosures (at separate times, and added one to the other for delivery... no issues at all and no extra charge, which i emailed to check and got a very cheery prompt response "Hi Paul, no issues our end! :) "Items were received on agreed date, I arrived home from work to a very well packaged large box, containing everything we ordered, all also well packed inside the well packaged box... Set up the terarriums, they look great btw... then went upstairs and put them in the bath ready to release my spiders into their new home. Firstly aphonopelma gabeli. perfect, healthy young juvenile. Secondly, acanthoscurria geniculata, again perfectly healthy, chilled out young spider. Cant fault the service, delivery and the price was spot on too. Cheers The Spider Shop. Even my little daughter who is (was) scared of spiders loves our new additions. Will definitely be using again very soon!
I was very impressed with this company. I ordered a Ghost Mantis and an acrylic tank which was self assembly along with a fruit fly culture. I was given a clear delivery date, the parcel arrived on 16th July as I was told. There is an youtube video to help you construct the tank. It's very easy to do and is very sturdy. The Little mantis was safely packaged and is very healthy. The tank came with substrate and decor. I would definitely order from this shop again. Very highly recommended.
