Tradera do not help customers buying outside Sweden through (they are) Swedish Ebay. With items not delivered they say that unless delivered though Tradera they cannot help and refer you back to who the item was purchased from. Foreign buyers cannot buy with tradera acting as agent and you cannot use Paypal as a foreign buyer so in effect you have no practical protection. So buy on Tradera from outside Sweden at your own unprotected risk hence my two stars and goodbuy to Tradera! The seller Footly are now sending me the package fortunately an honest seller it does not alter the fact a buyer outside Sweden however they can pay have in reality no protection. The reply from Tradera does not seem to accept or know? that UK Paypal cannot be used in other countries to use Paypal in Sweden you have to be Swedish resident and only Residents in Sweden can have Swedish bank accounts

I've using Tradera for several years with no relevant issues so far, but lately everything is getting worse and worse. Recently they have added a mandatory 'buyer protection fee' (5% of the total) that you are forced to pay if you use PayPal (which already has buyer protection). Tried talking with customer service for an explanation and the answer was "it was a fee for handling themselves a dispute in case something went wrong".So, couple of weeks after, had an issue with an order that I paid via PayPal, so contacted customer service about it. The answer was that I had to deal with it via Paypal, open a dispute there and that they will take care of it. Total liars, basically they are charging a fee for something you already got using PayPal and that they just DON'T DO. I would have never expected this sort of shady practices from a Swedish company like Tradera, what a shame.------Edit, as I cannot answer CS reply:This is why e.g. Ebay charges an extra fee when paying with PayPal --> This is not true, paying via PayPal is free for the buyer. If any, these fees are paid by the seller. I cannot name any big marketplace where paying via PayPal has a fee, just some private websites to compensate the fee they are charged. Many people won't just buy or use the platform if PayPal wasn't allowed as a payment method, so you should never force the buyer to pay an extra fee to use that. When you buy something on eBay, if you have a problem paying with PayPal, you dispute against the seller, not eBay. Maybe it would make more sense to apply a similar system, or either implement a solution like other marketplaces where the money is held by Tradera until the buyer confirms everything went ok.

Used them for years until they decided to implement a ridiculous system in which the buyer has to pay 5% of the item's value for buyer protection, which is a tough sell given that competitors like Blocket offer it for free and a much better established company with many more services like PayPal charges about half of that. FUN FACT! Even if you opt to pay with PayPal, in order to use their buyer protection, Tradera will still force their 5% fee on you, even if you are not interested in their buyer protection.Which brings us to the biggest issue with this website, THAT THE 5% BUYER PROTECTION FEE IS NON REFUNDABLE NO MATTER WHAT. And when I say no matter what, I really mean it. I bought an item for 15 000kr and paid 750kr extra of buyer protection that was forced upon me even though I used PayPal and the seller cancelled the deal for their own reasons, completely unrelated to me. I still wanted to buy the item, but the seller decided to not sell it, so I had to get a refund. Except I only got 15 000 back and, when contacting Tradera, they told me that they would be keeping the 750kr, even though it was the seller who cancelled and gave me a refund and their buyer protection was not used.Thank God I paid with PayPal, as I was able to open a dispute and get my 750kr back from those thieves. Avoid at all costs unless you can meet the seller locally and buy with Swish.EDIT: Thank you for replying to my review and completely ignoring my main issue with your business. Guess that one wasn't as easy to defend, so you didn't even bother, eh?
