Our experience with Typeform has been extremely disappointing.

We signed up for a Plus plan and paid annually upfront, expecting standard functionality. However, we discovered that a basic feature, receiving email notifications when a form is submitted, is NOT included.

Instead, we were told to:

Purchase an additional paid add-on
Or use a workaround via Zapier

This makes no sense. Email notifications are a core feature of any form builder, not something that should be paywalled.

To make matters worse:

Documentation suggests the feature exists
The UI elements referenced are missing
Support gave conflicting guidance and no real solution

This feels like misleading advertising and forced upselling of essential functionality.

Bottom line: You may pay for a premium plan and still not get basic features. Not recommended.

Overpriced for the functionality available. Very slow to respond to community feedback with some 'must have' functionality still not being delivered after many years even though their staff say they are 'currently being developed'. Better options available for much less per month.

This is really shit

This is really shit, the cheapest plan cost me 25USD and I can't do anything with it. I don't want to pay more than that to upgrade from ''nothing is available''. And one month later, I kept ''payment is pending'', the cancel button isn't lit, I can't cancel plan. I want to contact an international lawyer how they keep payment without customer's willingness.

Extremely disappointed with Typeform

Technically, Typeform is the best in the game. The UI/UX is brilliant, and as a SaaS founder, I truly appreciate the quality of the product. My main issue was the recent price jump from €55 to €70/month, which felt excessive for a usage of 30 forms.I reached out to express my disappointment, and I’m glad to say the team listened. They applied a 50% discount for the next 3 months to bridge the gap.While I still think the new standard pricing is quite high for small structures/low-volume users, I really appreciate the gesture of goodwill. It shows they actually care about customer retention and aren't just running on autopilot.I’ll be staying for now. If you're looking for the most polished form builder on the market, this is it—just be prepared to discuss your plan with them if the pricing doesn't match your volume.

Good response collection, terrible survey analysis

Typeform is good for response collection and has a nice design. But it's just a nightmare for analyzing survey data. They broke all the summaries and reports — different tabs show different numbers of responses. It became almost impossible to get a simple sorting of the results.I had a clear bug — three tabs in Typeform showed three different numbers of responses. I reached customer support, and it was terrible. The first representative just told me "it's by design". Then some senior representative joined this discussion and admitted it's a problem they'll fix (due to some AWS outage). After that, a third person told me, "It's in the backlog of a tech team". So I spent a week trying to fix a clear data bug (it wasn't fixed).So I had to go to Claude to build a report for me. What's the point of paying a premium subscription price if I have to do half of the work manually?!
