Unable to contact UDEMY

Ever tride to contact udemy. Dont bother, its near impossible. I cannot login. The login process says it will send a code but never does.. Not in spam. But the worst part is there is no way to contact them. The chat bot is completely and utterly useless!!I am so mad i cannot access courses i have paid for.

Overcharged

Was gifting a course for a friend, trying to use their discount offer which would place the course at €14.99Go through the checkout process without paying due attention to the value presented on the last page which I only later realize when reviewing the receipt email and Paypal movements that I was actually charged €54.99Asking for a refund from page is impossible for gifted courses, a direct support link is unclear, you have a bot that appears to create a ticket but you have no proper way of tracking if this is actually working or not, and have not received a response so far.Via Paypal I'm advised to email an address which states it's only an automated system and directs me to use the chat bot, so this seems to be the only gateway.Regardless of the support, it seems a pretty abysmal experience (nevermind probably illegal bait and switch) that somehow a product is discounted but somehow the system still allowed full price to be paid for it.

I paid for a course on the 2 10 24 It cost me $20.59 AUSI was able to access it one time and when I went back to keep going with it, My course plus every other course I had paid for was deleted off my udemy platform. I am so angry with them as it was 103 hours Art therapy Diploma Course which is still being advertised but now it is $32.99. These programs and people should be closed down for scamming people who genuinely want to learn

I learnt AI concepts incl Computer vision and NLP from udemy courses. They are very affordable, just paid around INR. 300/- to get access. They are useful, but takes too much to learn as they are unnecessarily lengthy at times.

The classes just disappeared from my account

The classes I purchased disappeared from my account. Customer service expected me to jump through quite a few hoops to get my classes reinstated. The one thing I couldn’t locate was the receipt, so basically I feel like I was ripped off.

Why all the hate?

Why all the hate? Seriously, I don't understand. Some are valid and come down to an obvious lack of customer service/support but some are just silly. Udemy is leaps and bounds the most versatile and vast online learning platform. I have studied multiple courses through it and passed exams from said course and received certifications. The buying process is dead simple (has been for the countless courses I have purchased), the terms are prominently displayed, etc. etc. Seriously, browse around before purchasing and pick a one or two basic courses and enrol. There's plenty of free courses that you can enrol in to gauge the style and content - obviously free courses are nowhere near the quality of a paid course from reputable instructor but I've found some gems.

Good overall platform

I love the idea of learning new things online! For me, Udemy is the way! Love all the good teachers and good videos that are published, and the fact that they give forms to fill if you encounter any problems, or other bugs. In my experience (about a year of working on the complete web dev. bootcamp), the only downside I experienced was that some videos have problems, meaning that they randomly lose quality, and sometimes even come to a complete pause. I even made a speedtest on my Wi-Fi, and i had around 300 mbps. Felt a bit frustrated that YouTube could play a 4K video with no problem, but Udemy struggled with a 720p video.

Already purchased but the process was pending and until now I haven't received my course yet!!

I have been using Udemy for a long time and I consider it a good platform for upgrading professional knowledge. However, I will no longer be using Udemy. I purchased a course during a recent sale, and after my payment was processed, the system of Udemy showed my order as pending. As of now, I still can't access the course, even after a day. When I encountered this issue, I found it very difficult to contact Udemy's Support Center for assistance. After several hours of searching, I had to leave a message with a chatbot!! WTF!!

Udemy doesn't deserve all the bad…

Udemy doesn't deserve all the bad reviews on here. Here are the key reasons why:- It is the only platform which I know of that offers a pay-as-you-go model, rather than a subscription model. That makes it very good value, as most courses cost less than £15 (assuming you buy in the sale, which happens every few days)- If you choose your course carefully by reading the reviews, then you will find very good material out there. As you buy and complete courses, you will learn who the good instructors in particular areas, and whose style you like best. I also suggest you check the total length of videos and the course structure- Many of the reviews are about refunds. As I have not felt the need to seek a refund on any course, I can't comment on this- Some people feel it is unfair that Udemy only gives 25% to course creators. However, many couse creators themselves point out that marketing, the technology platform, payment processing etc are all very expensive. Search for "why does udemy keep the majority of your revenue" for more info.
