One day some woman starts phoning me up, said she was from UPS and demands to know my address. I blocked her number. Then I started to receive letters from UPS demanding thousands for their services, only I never used UPS. Naturally I assumed these were scammers who somehow got my address and phone number. Next I got got a very threatening solicotors letter from England. I assumed these were the scammers using some solicitors letterhead so I looked up that solicitor online and told them someone was using their letterhead to send threatening letters. I also contacted UPS to tell them about what I believed was a scam. UPS ignored what i told them and said they would pass it on to their accounts department, which I believed had nothing to do with what I thought was a scam. Next the solicitors sent me a letter indicating the UPS charges were to do with some other company that I recognized because I made a small online purchase from them. I contacted that company and emailed what the solicitor sent (I now guessed it wasnt a scam after all but incompetence on the part of UPS). A few hours later, I got a call from someone who asked me to say on the phone to name the people who owed the debt. I didnt know the names of the people who worked in the company I made the purchase from but fortunately, an employee from that company was also on the line (a three-way conversation) and he said yes that is us. So the first person accepted that and that was the end of the matter. Only I never got an appology from UPS for annoying me. The date experience below is wrong, it happed a couple of years ago but the date box is acting funny.
Dreadful service, the web-site to alter delivery dates doesn't work. The auto phone number just sends you round and round in circles wasting time and money.Probably the worst delivery company in Ireland even in the face of some stiff competition..........God Awful.
I'm trying to open a business and have been getting deliveries from overseas from many different suppliers and countries. Every single delivery UPS has handled has ended up sitting in some warehouse in a continuous circle of daily updates and nothing happening. Each delivery has required a call. Their website is rubbish. Their virtual assistant is rubbish. Their customer service agents don't have proper information in front of them. Typically, deliveries have taken 3 weeks to get from UK to Ireland with them. Avoid.
New phone was stuffed into the mailbox outside on the road,it was too big to fit in the mailbox so it was half hanging out of the mailbox. The delivery man was too lazy to check if anyone was home if he did check he would have noticed he could leave it safely in the porch.
I had forgotten my IPAD in a hotel and got UPS to collect it and deliver it to me.I had left out what apartment i was in as i was living on the GF and said that they could leave it at the door.Well that didn't work out they didn't deliver it. i then tried to change the address to include the last part and was told a letter was being sent out and to follow the letters instuctions. the letter never arrived and now they are returning the IPAD to the hotel.I got no emails about any of this and I've been waiting for the letter. What a disgrace of a company, i will never b using them again!
Well just when I thought this company UPS couldn't be any more incompetent ! Delivery from Germany to Ireland. Left Germany Wednesday - into France Thursday - left France Thursday - no further tracking until Monday morning into Dublin. No further progress 48 hours later. Called UPD advised NO delivery name or address on the consignment - remarkable it made it to Dublin really :-) Customer service the absolute pits - usual overseas call centre incompetence. Unable to advise how I can make a subject access request for a copy of the telephone call, refused to email me the issue with the address to provide to the shipper and my credit card company to raise a charge back and waited 2 hours to speak to an equally incompetent and idiotic 'supervisor' - everything about UPS stinks of incompetence and a company in free fall - do not use- you have been warned.
