Booked on that app and advised of 4 minute arrival. Driver called of delay due to traffic. However, 20 mins later, taxi has still not arrived. 2 calls i to management failed to resolve and taxi cancelled. Generally a good company but let down badly. My dad has COPD and cancer....not a good experience.
As a resident of Shrewsbury and a frequent customer of Veezu, I'm reaching out to the community for support in addressing the unacceptable service standards provided by our local taxi service, Veezu. I, like many others, rely on Veezu to get to work and other important appointments, yet I am constantly late due to unacceptable wait times that can exceed 30 minutes beyond booking. Furthermore, the lack of professionalism in customer service is disheartening. Staff are often rude and dismissive, reflecting a management culture that seems to put profit over people. This has become increasingly frustrating not just for me, but for countless others in our town who have no competing options.Veezu holds a monopoly on taxi services in Shrewsbury, leaving us with no choice but to depend on their unreliable services. The situation is worsened by the fact that black cabs are already booked through school contracts, severely limiting morning availability. This excessive lack of availability and poor service quality inconvenience hundreds of residents daily.Public transport options remain limited in our town, making a dependable taxi service even more crucial. It's essential for Veezu to acknowledge their responsibility in ensuring reliable, efficient, and polite service to their customers if they wish to maintain and restore their reputation in our community.We request that Veezu implement immediate improvements. This includes better driver availability during peak times, enhanced customer service training for staff, and an equitable response to customer feedback and complaints. Complete scam!Caught a taxi to the hospital at 14:50- £13.60 and booked a return at 15:25 which was estimated the same £13.60 but then had to pay a surcharge on top of the payment. I asked for an explanation and was told its a busy time so they can...if it was a set surcharge for certain times it would have been in estimated fare so therefore a scam!
Terrible taxi driver. Rude woman snapped that she knew where she was going when I told her this wasn’t where I had asked to go. No attempt at pleasantries. Tried to drop us off at the wrong side of the hospital. Said this was the address she was given, aggressively. I very, very rarely lose my temper but I had a very pregnant passenger with me who needed to be seen asap and wasn’t capable of walking … and this driver accused ME of being rude and demanded we get out of the car! Will NEVER EVER use this company again. She dropped us off where I had asked in the first place after I ph my son and told him to complain to the firm. Horrible person, should not be dealing with the public in any capacity.
I have been using Veezu for a while now but recently I have to pay extra charges whenever I use them. Also, driver asked me to pay directly to them using a card reader and still have to pay extra charges. I called customer support who was not helpful at all, not ready to listen, only repeating same thing over and over.
Tried to book a taxi on the app twice, both times after approving payment with my bank it wouldn't take me back to the app. I now have over £30 pending in bank for these attempted bookings. I called the office to be told they couldn't book me another taxi unless I paid for it and I would receive payments back from bank in 1-3 days. I told them I had no money left due to the two attempts and pending payments, still refused to help me and said I'd have to pay for another one.
I have been an account customer for over 5 years. But now that Veezu has taken over Panther in Cambridge, they have set a fixed fare of £10.40, even though my journey was less than 2 miles. But, they failed to inform their account customers. It also means I won't tip the driver. I'm not made of money!It used to cost me around £6-7.As I live alone and have lost my driving licence due to ill health, I use taxis for journeys inaccessible by public transport or making a 1 mile trip to my local station (on the meter, around £6.50).What Veezu has done is outrageous and I will probably go with an alternative taxi firm.
