App said 2 minute wait. OK, so realistically I know that means a but longer but after 50 minutes and 2 phone calls to still not have anything assigned is ridiculous. Should have been early to work. Now going to be late. Had to book with Uber costing be double the price. Not my usual experience with Veezu.
I booked a cab tonight and gave 2 hours notice, Veezu decided to charge and extra 30% for advance booking. So allowing busineses to plan and operate efficiently means the customer has to pay a 30 % premium! This seems a fast way to make you customers move elsewhere, which is what I will do.
Have used Veezu many times over the last couple of years, pretty reliable but the unexpected price increases from quotes is now unbelievable! Think the driver's charge what they like! In 2 months a 1.6 mile journey went from £6 to £8.90….. waiting charges added on when non have occured from 10p to £1.80….Will stick to more local taxi firms in future…
Absolute horror of.companyI raised the form and they just replied saying they don’t take responsibility for being lateI booked my taxi to station with 35 minutes for a 15 min drive, despite I prebooked it days in advance, veezu took 15 minutes to even asign a driver, the driver arrived 20 minutes after the booked time, ans even though the driver did his best to take me on time, I missed my train because of the poor management and coordination of the service provided. I was taking the train to London to watch a show, this meant I had to take a later train and be late for my showe. I would like a refund for this taxi trip, and compensation for being late to my train and show. I also felt the treatment from the three operators I spoke with was very patronising and not good, they just kept talking about the 10 min window even when I was saying the taxi was already 20 min late, they were also blaming me and saying I should have booked it with more time when I had more than double the time required. It was a horrible experience. I have been an ABC customer for years and never had a problem but veezu management is just way less efficient, what’s the whole point pf prebooking a taxi ir I have to wait 20 min on the day for the operator to find me one on the day. I look forward to hearing from you.
When we “booked” a taxi several hours in advance we assumed it would have been already arranged to pick us up on time. This company is a middle man liaison between self employed drivers and customers. No taxi arrived when we were waiting in the cold. We had to call again to ask where the taxi was. They then said they were trying to find someone to take the job, nothing had actually been booked. When a taxi did eventually arrive 25 mins after our original “booking” time, he was a delightful driver, clean car and reasonable price. But this driver was not part of the terrible company that supposedly books the taxis. Luckily we were not in a rush for a specific time, but I am highly unlikely to use this firm again. There is no guarantee at all that your booking will get picked up by anyone or that you will arrive in time.
It was getting dark and I was worried about how I would get all this stuff to the bus station. I called this driver. He was really a gentleman. He answered me very respectfully. I didn't have any money in my card. I said I would pay the fare. If he agreed, I would be very happy. He loaded all my stuff for me. When I reached the route, he waited there until I had moved my stuff. Thank you very much. I was very happy.
