Waited 10 min in Bristol, after saying it would arrive imminently. Found to be told it would be another 9min. Later while I was on the phone I saw the taxi drive slowly past the corner of the wide pavement I was stood on but failed to see me or stop, drove straight on. I gave up and walked.
I took a Veezu taxi (the new name for Panther Taxis) recently with a small suitcase. I asked to keep it on the back seat, but the driver refused and told me to put it in the trunk, even though I explained I had important items inside. Fortunately, I had already taken out my laptop before the journey, which was the right decision. My suitcase kept sliding and hitting the sides several times during the journey, which was worrying. When we arrived, the driver did not open the trunk or get out to help. I got out and didn't know how to open it, so I had to knock on the trunk. He then came out looking annoyed and just said 'press here', making me take out the suitcase myself. In addition, when I requested a receipt, the driver asked for my mobile number but did not explain why it was needed. The receipt was just a business card with the date, amount and driver's sign on it, so I left feeling unnecessary confusion.Overall, I found the attitude a bit rude and unprofessional, and I think a little more care and clear communication would make a big difference. At times, I even felt I was treated differently as a foreigner, which was disappointing. I hope Veezu improves their training and service standards. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Veezu and would hesitate to use their service again.
Only giving one star because I can't give zero. I work in a care home and booked a taxi to collect one of our residents from his day centre. The driver arrived and rung me to say he was outside. I explained that the customer has a learning disability and he would have to go in the centre to make himself known. The driver then hung up on me, cancelled the booking and left, essentially abandoning someone with learning disabilities causing him great distress and anxiety. Really expensive the fares keep increasing and today I was charged £8 one way and £9.50 return same route maybe 4 miles each way. On a positive note the lady driver is great always friendly , reliable and professional. As veezu has taken over most taxi firms its difficult to find a firm that's independent from them but I will be researching.
BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY.Our daughter has been using this company for a long time to get to college in shewsbury. There has been a few issues within this time. However this morning the driver was demanding payment yet this was already paid online as always. The driver continued the journey but was on his phone (illegal whilst driving) still demanding payment. we called the company and they were unhelpful and wasn’t interested in customer service. The driver was rude intimidating demanding to our young daughter. We said we would call the college and police regarding the driver. The response was ok you do that. Would not transfer us to a person who could deal with this issueTerrible company customer service. Yes other companies are a few pound more but we’d rather pay this than have our daughter scared and treated badly.
Had booked a taxi for pick up taxi driver rang to say he was there advised him that we were outside waiting and he wasn’t here. He was very stroppy and rude he said I’m outside I told him again no your not I’m stood by reception he slammed phone down on me after ranting and raising his voice. Rang the operator she was lovely couldn’t apologise enough not her fault though the previous operator I had booked this with had sent the taxi to the total different county still doesn’t excuse the rudeness of the driver. The operator sent out another taxi immediately and was very helpful although the driver we got was very miserable must be a bad day for everyone. I have booked through here many times and honestly wish it had stayed 659 as Veezu is proving to be a very irresponsible company that really doesn’t care. I had pre booked a taxi last week only to be told 10 minutes after it’s due time that they had no one in my county and would be another 25 minutes. PRE BOOKED you had this booking 12 hours prior to me needing it why did you not have a car available as you had plenty of notice. From now on I will be sticking to my local companies. Carry on the way you are you’ve lost 1 customer here imagine how many more you could loose with the shoddy service
