Review Time
Bought a 3 year old Tiguan from Weston Super Mare Mon motors/Heritage and I believe like another customer further down the reviews, that the car never had a proper pre sale check. Needed new brakes and pads after 4,000 miles with the brakes making a terrible noise and surprise surprise they can’t find a copy of the pre sale check to prove the brakes were under 70% use. Appalling post sale service, sales guy pretended all my emails went into spam and now he has left. Avoid buying a second hand car from them!!!!
We spent some time with Kadiem looking at T Roc and T Cross models. We returned after a couple of weeks and decided on a T Roc after test drives of both models with Sharaz Akram who was extremely helpful taking time to answer our questions and help us decide which particular car to buy. We even changed our mind from one car to another but Sharaz dealt with that in a friendly and professional manner. Since completing the purchase Sharaz has made himself available to answer my questions and show me features of the infotainment system I was having difficulty with.We were treated as valued customers.
Just wanted to say thanks to Clare for her help in the Bristol office for helping me with an Electric charging Unit Replacement this week. I felt very looked after and the whole thing took much less time than I was expecting. So I am a happy customer :)
In 3 years I've had to put up with Heritage they have failed at every single opportunity to do what they promised and it feels like they go out of their way to provide the worst possible customer service. Why they offer a call back service I don't know they never and I mean never call back. Why they bother with service booking department is also a mystery, they cancel booked services at last minute. If you are lucky enough for get your car seen they don't do what was agreed. They are quick to take your money but terrible at providing any sort of service for it. You can't trust a single thing they say. When I've complained to them about their service, they asked me to email it to them, which I did, guess what, they didn't reply. I can't think of one positive interaction with them in 3 years. Just avoid!
What a joke! Bought my Discovery Sport in January in Dorchester and a few months later we had a few problems. When we called I was told ‘we don’t work on land rovers’ but my warranty says to take it back to them! Confused! Eventually My car was picked up with multiple problems, one being a fume smell in the car, it has been sat in their garage for 3 weeks and hasn’t been touched! Phone calls never returned by Graham, had to constantly call until he was available to be told lie after lie! One day there was a smell the next it had gone. It definitely hadn’t gone!! They just had no idea how to fix it! Next day told the hold up was due to the warranty company, when I called them no claim had been made! When questioned on this, Dave let me know he didn’t know how to use the new portal so hadn’t done it!! The chap that picked my car up and bought it back when we finally gave up waiting for our car to be fixed was lovely! Shame he had to listen to our moans about all the incompetent people he works with! Cars sat here, same problems just minus the fuel it went with! AVOID AVOID AVOID
I bought my polo from Heritage in Dorchester but it was collected from Heritage in Bristol. It was supposed to be in perfect order. I was told by Simon that I could come back after six months if there was a problem.I didn't use the car much in the winter until after six months was up and had never used the air conditioning. The gas was found to be completely empty..cost me £130. At the mot I had to have new brake pads and shoes and two front tyres are almost illegal. Having done a tiny Mileage this does not sound very good and I have had to spend hundreds putting things right. It seems the car was not checked before selling at all. Most annoying and unprofessional.
I had bought a 2022 plate VW Golf with 5000 miles from VW Heritage of Yeovil, the biggest mistake of my life, for a nearly new car the amount of issues I have had is very disappointing.I spoke to head of business Adrian and car sales manager Neil to reject the car but although I reported initial fault under 6 months they are still not willing to honour a rejection, however they do accept I shouldn’t have been given a car with so many faults, they are happy to part exchange my car at 3k less and get me in another car for 2k more, which means for their car having so many faults I lose 5k in short space of time. The head of business requested I take my previous review off, to which I agreed, they wanted me to give them an opportunity to put things right but it’s been two months on and nothing has happened, when I ring them they avoid coming on the phone, I get promise a call back and then receive an email full of excuses.Customers are treated like robots, if you want to buy a faulty car, please go to Heritage of Yeovil, if you want to be treated like dirt then this is the place to go, my advice is to AVOID at all cost.
We went to Heritage VW Bristol with our campervan as had abs esc light on dash, they replaced wheel sensor and when we picked up after 2 days lights still on dash, returned the same day and 3 weeks later after replacing bearing still lights on dash. We needed the camper for a booked holiday, they said would seek advice as probably electrical. Took to Audi Volks Keynsham, they resolved in 2 days, 2 broken wires and a sensor on another wheel needed replacing. Couldn’t fault Audi Volks after they resolved what Heritage couldn’t. Not impressed being a main dealer.
Bought a passat in March at Heritage weston super-mare. Was told by the salesman the car would be serviced, undergo an MOT, and be put through a multi point inspection.I drove the car home some 120 miles. Later, I could hear some rubbing/grinding noise which was coming from the front brake discs. My wife even commented on the noise. When I checked the DVLA site I found that it had not been issued a new MOT. When I complained to the sales manager he took immediate action and had the car collected. I'd also complained to VW by that time. The car was put through an MOT, and returned to me. When I again checked the MOT history, I found that the first test they conducted, was a fail due to a defective wiper blade, with the front discs wear as an advisory. It was then resubmitted and passed with no advisories. Heritage had put new discs on the car as well as a new wiper blade. So, I was sold a car that would not have passed an MOT. Not what I expect for the money I paid. Why didn't the multi point check pick up these issues? Was it conducted in the first place? I also doubt it was serviced.I'm grateful to the sales manager for taking my complaint seriously and dealing with it in an efficient manner. I cannot say the same for the staff member who sold me the car, not impressed. This would have been a 1 star review had it not been for the managers actions. It seems their front of house staff (the most important role) are letting them down. Shakes ones confidence in the vehicle, I hope there are no more surprises in store for me.
We popped in with a view to PX our 71 mini for an automatic Golf. The receptionist was friendly and told me the salesman was on the telephone. Not a problem and an opportunity to look at the choice. When the salesman came out his body language and behaviour displayed total disinterest. Inside the focus was on we had visited two years ago and wanted a different model today. I explained I had changed jobs. By this point I was told it was better to make an appointment and so it went on until my wife called a halt. Maybe it’s me but we have just purchased a CRV from an independent dealer and the service couldn’t be more different- interest, friendly and attentive. Maybe I don’t fit their customer profile or the salesman was having a rough day or had personal issues. However, good VW cars are I will not be getting one from Heritage Weston. Heritage you could do so much better - pop up to Dick Lovett Mini for an exemplary service. Thank you to the receptionist- first class.
