Beware!! Do not buy whirl pool products . I bought a washer and just after thr 2 year warranty period it broke ! I called thr company to see what they could do and they wanted me to either pay $350-$400 dollars after already paying $700 for a washer that lasted 2 years ! What a scam , no more whirlpool products for me . I just purchased LG .
WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. MY DRYER IS LESS THAN A YEAR OLD AND I CAN'T GET A PART TO REPAIR IT. MY WASHER HAS ALREADY BEEN REPLACED. WHAT HAPPENED TO MAYTAG WHEN WHIRLPOOL TOOK OVER. I AM CURRENTLY ON HOLD WAITING FOR A PART THAT WAS SENT 6 DAYS AGO STILL NO PART. NEVER BUYING MAYTAG AGAIN.
My partner and I purchased a Whirlpool double oven and registered it promptly. Soon after, we were persuaded to purchase an extended warranty through Domestic & General Appliance Insurance, based on their promise that if the appliance couldn’t be fixed, it would be replaced. Within two months, the oven malfunctioned, and after three unsuccessful service attempts, Whirlpool abruptly refused to send additional technicians or honor a replacement. When we contacted the warranty provider, they confirmed our policy guaranteed a replacement, but Whirlpool still refused, citing the store we purchased it from—despite having sold us the warranty themselves. This is blatant misrepresentation. Whirlpool knowingly promoted a warranty they had no intention of honoring. For a $4.6 billion company, their lack of professionalism over an appliance costing less than $2,000 is despicable. I would strongly caution anyone against doing business with this company or trusting their warranties. Shameful customer service and unethical practices.
I bought 4 Whirlpool appliances from Menards. a washer and dryer set, electric stove and a dishwasher. I paid for instillation, and removal of the old appliances. It took 9 weeks (9 WEEKS) to get the appliances delivered. Whirlpool (the worst company I have had the displeasure of dealing with) postponed delivery 3 times! When they finally bothered to show up, it did not go good. The installers were nice and pleasant to deal with, EXCEPT FOR A BUNCH OF RULES THAT Whirlpool HAS. I had to help install the appliances. I had to disconnect the washer, reconnect the hoses to the washer, I had to connect the dryer vent, i had to help install the stove all due to idiot rules that Whirlpool has in place. The installers could NOT do things because of Whirlpools rules. I though that Whirlpool in insured to cover instillation, but apparently not. The installers wouldn't even touch the dishwasher, so I have a dishwasher sitting in my living room not installed. and the old one is still where it was. I want a full refund of all instillation charges for all 4 appliances, as well as a refund on all other fees because I had to help with the instillation! When I pay for instillation, I should I will NEVER shop at Menard's AND I will NEVER buy ANYTHING made by Whirlpool. Never means NEVER. Whirlpool is the WORST company I have dealt with, postponements and rules that should not exist. Whirlpool should not exist!!
Earlier this year, around April I think, our fridge started making noise in the damper, I guess its called, in the fridge section. While tech was here I mentioned the freezer not making ice, and that I had to keep a chopstick on the bar so I could go in and manually "defrost" the ice maker, so the ice tray could dump. he replaced the damper (2nd visit). Third visit he replaced the ice maker. Still wasn't making ice, so called Costco again. Sent tech out again, 4th visit, he ordered a new ice/water dispenser. 5th visit he came out to install said dispenser. 6th visit, I called Costco again because the ice was side shooting, so tech came out again, and we realized that whirlpool did not send the funnel thing that makes the ice fall straight into the glass. I also mentioned that I was still not getting ice. 7th visit to replace ice/water dispenser with funnel and I believe another ice maker. 7th visit still not making ice, tech came out and told me I am getting you a new door. He is as fed up as I am. he ordered the door, He came out, 8th visit, unpackaged the door and it was the WRONG COLOR. At this point the tech and I laughed. He ordered the door AGAIN and had it shipped to his shop. Finally came in, another 8 weeks later. 9th visit now, he came out and installed the door. Worked fine for about a month and, last weekend and this weekend I had to go buy ice! It is just me and my husband...we don't go through a lot of ice. I called Costco again today, and they are going to send my tech out again. I don't think a new fridge or a refund costs as much as the RPL parts and shipping of said parts and the cost of my tech coming out now, what...at LEAST 10 times (I honestly lost count). I of course can't get a hold of whirlpool to them out, so I am trying to hold my anger towards Costco. It ain't their fault, but I think they would have enough influence with whirlpool to facilitate a new fridge or a refund.
Door Alarm will not shut offCalled for help in troubleshooting Was told to read the book I will never buy another product from you as your customer service is terrible the lady was rude and refused to help me to troubleshoot instead she told me she would not help and to read the manual I just lost my husband a few months ago and just needed someone to walk me through it you need to take lessons from spectrum cable service they troubleshoot and will generally fix the problem but all you guys want is a service call to charge your customers more money thanks for doing absolutely nothing to help fix what should have been a simple problem. P.S. That lady from customer service should be fired she is useless. Waste of my time trying to get help from this company Ann Lambertson
I do the maintenance for group homes and we bought 4 new top load semi-commercial units. We had 3 of the 4 units main boards go down after in the first 6 months and had to pay the labor which was $450 ($150 for 3 trips). A month later the shift actuator went out and had to pay another $150. The parts are free for 2 years??The worst part it literally took 2 months of calling to even get someone out. The Technician even told me that they are having HUGE problems with the main control boards.I will never recommend a Whirlpool again.
