I bought 10-ft 1/4-in Compression Inlet x 1/4-in Compression Outlet Stainless Steel Ice Maker Connector QTY 1 Item #: 247028|Model #: 98517 Whirlpool 24.6-cu ft Side-by-Side Refrigerator with Ice Maker, Water and Ice Dispenser (Fingerprint Resistant Stainless Steel) QTY 1 Item #: 1030901|Model #: WRS315SDHZ On October 25th 2024. ON March 5th, it broke! The ice maker stopped working, then the fridge. lost $500 in groceries, it took whirlpool 3 weeks to get a tech out to me, and never called me when techs cancelled as they were supposed to so I missed 3 days of work for nothing, and no fridge tech. When the tech finally came, he said the ice maker was 100% broken as well as the entire fridge temperature sensor. I had to unplug it and it wont work until they come back which takes up to 30o days apparently. I called whirlpool immediately as obvisouly for someone who just bought a brand new fridge from them, you think they would care,. but they didn't. They said we can't help you, service is all you get with your warranty. MY WARRANTY WARRANTS A WORKING FRIDGE!!!!! YOU HAVEN'T GIVEN ME THAT AND KEEPING ME FROM HAVING ONE BY OFFERING THIS CRAP EXTENDED SERVICE IS UNACCEPTABLE! YOUR A SCAM COMPANY!
Customer service is non existent. I sat on hold over an hour and finally got through but they weren’t sure what part I needed. I need a deli drawer replaced after mine disintegrated less than a year old. Rep on phone said if the part was wrong I could return within 30 days but I’d need to pay the shipping. I asked to be transferred to someone in customer service that could actually help me but was disconnected. I tried using their ‘live chat’ but got a blue screen that they said would be with me shortly but even that method, nothing happened. Abhorrent service.
Very poor customer service. I was made to wait for an hour while being transferred between five different departments, repeatedly providing the same information. In the end, I had to call again the next day because the department that was supposed to assist me had already closed—without anyone informing me beforehand.
I was sold a bad Whirlpool refridgerator and from day one Lowes the retailer and Whirlpool the manufacturer, have given me the run around. Both companies have the worst customer service on the planet...do not buy any appliance from Lowes...and especially a Whirlpool product. I give them both a big fat "F" grade. BEWARE...!
The only person lonelier than the Maytag repairman is the Maytag customer. They’re really good about responding but not very good at actually following through and solving the problem. Before you spend $1100 on a Maytag product, consider the fact that if there’s a problem, they’ll profess that they care and then do NOTHING. Save your money and go elsewhere.

I bought a refrigerator and it was from whirlpool and there was a part in it that was defected that ruined my kitchen floor due to it leaking for several months now my floor is molded I have sent in pictures the part and an estimate what it will cost to get my floor fixed and still no one has returned my call I have even called and emailed the CEO and still no response back they keep telling you you have to send an email to a NRA claims department but no one has returned an email this has been going on for the last 3 months I do not recommend whirlpool. I will never buy another whirlpool product they are no good at communicating whatsoever so I'm going to contact a lawyer and send them all the emails that I have sent my phone records that have called and no response. They say that Robert show is the third party but then I have to deal with a car Warden company and none of them are returning my calls or emails so I have asthma and I'm smelling this mold every day.
