Edit after the reply. It’s funny how you make those alternative options for cancelling available when someone makes a public complaint but you make no mention of being able to do that anywhere on your website. In fact you actually prevent customers being able to send a message with the online form if they choose the the “cancelling my subscription” option for the subject. A pop up saying you need to phone blocks the message box and can’t be removed! So you are making it as hard as possible. It is completely unethicalThey deliberately and aggressively make cancelling subscriptions unnecessarily hard. This violates trading standards and is totally unethical. The glowing reviews that get put on every time someone complains read like the dialogue of an extra in a soap opera.
Shitty retention tactics - you can sign up online, edit everything about your subscription online...except cancel. To cancel, they make you go through multiple online tickboxes, then present you with a number to call (with limited opening hours), then when you finally get through and request to cancel, you're given more sales tactics rather than just being able to cancel your subscription. Makes me very distrustful of the ethics of the company when dodgy pressure & complication tactics are used.
