It’s a scam honestly. They advertise the price as if it’s the price you pay for the product, but it’s not. I always read fine-print but they got me good and when they led me to the retailer’s website, I did not click buy now, I only clicked apply code to see the discount it would apply. Next thing I know, I’ve paid £40 instead of £2.50, I’m a student, I can’t afford to waste that money. Absolutely ridiculous website.
The whole experience was an adventure for adults as well as five year old grandchildren you were allowed free reign to see and do exactly what you wanted to do bonus feeding designated animals amazing play time with real life dinosaur 🦕 who was absolutely brilliant and to end the end an adventure park for little ones to release last of energy before 40 winks on the way home . A thoroughly happy half term experience by ALL grandparents too
Bought a mattress thinking it was a bargain at £65, then stung with added postage of £20. 5 day waiting time for delivery, fair enough. On the last day received an email to say I was 'eligible' for refund credit voucher as 3rd party didn't have the item. Requested money not a voucher & told it would take 5 days to appear in my account. Complained & was given £10 for my troubles.I will never use wowcher again as they are not only beaten for price by competitors, I believe they con money from punters with their 'deals' using woeful 3rd party suppliers, then finally make money off you through interest whilst you await a refund! From date of purchase ti refund date as long as I get refunded in 5 days will have taken 15 days.Just bought a mattress at amazon, cheaper & next day delivery. What a joke.
I am absolutely shocked that Wowcher continues to advertise and partner with Travelodeal, an outright unethical and manipulative company. I purchased a Wowcher mystery holiday for two people at £129 each, and what should have been a fun, exciting experience quickly turned into a nightmare of pressure selling, deception, and data abuse. When I contacted Travelodeal to redeem my voucher, I was bullied into paying an extra £366, with the agent falsely claiming it was the only option available. This was completely untrue - I later found the same flights and hotel online for hundreds less!To make matters worse, they even asked for my Ryanair login details - a massive red flag and blatant breach of privacy. When I refused, they went ahead and booked flights without my consent, choosing awful middle-of-the-night times that I never approved. After checking prices, I discovered I’d been overcharged by £218.04 for accommodation, and that Travelodeal’s total price was £183.96 more than booking directly myself. In total, I lost hundreds due to misleading and unethical practices that Wowcher is directly enabling by promoting this “partner.”It’s disgraceful that Wowcher would lend its name to a scam like this. As a customer, I trusted Wowcher’s platform - but after this ordeal, I will never use it again. It’s clear they don’t vet their suppliers, don’t care about customer rights, and are happy to profit from exploitative middlemen like Travelodeal.I’ve filed formal complaints with Trading Standards and the ICO, and I’ll be pursuing this matter through the small claims court if necessary. Until Wowcher takes accountability and cuts ties with Travelodeal, I strongly urge everyone to stay far away from these “deals” - they’re nothing but traps disguised as bargains.
I requested a refund within 14 days of purchase. I contacted wowcher complaints department and was informed that I would need to download the whatsapp business account in order to contact Wowcher. I then informed them that I wanted a full refund, however they informed me that they would need to contact the merchandiser. The merchandiser then contacted me to say that I was unable to obtain my refund. There is no telephone number in order to speak to someone direct. I will not be rating Wowcher as a good service, as I did not receive any apology or refund even though I have not used my voucher and I have lost my money
The hotel was booked because we were going to a wedding in the area and meeting up with family. It was a lovely stay but the staff were absolutely marvellous. All the add ons through wowcher, cream tea and dinner allowance, were served graciously which is not always the case when redeeming an offer. Well done Sedgebrooke 👏
Noticed WOWCHER/PAYPAL had helped themselves to £4.99 out of my account (not much you may think but read on) turns out that when because of technology and lack of knowhow at 77 (see earlier review) in April lost £22 to Wowcher and just to top it all at the time they entered me into their mystery VIP club(check your accounts) and for the privellege of belonging to it, they on an automatic payment take £4.99 every 6 months. If you care to google it, you will find that they have fleeced 1000's and Watchdog have ordered them to refund, they are still attempting to take it, after using language a vicar would not use I got them to refund and complained to Paypal and they paid it as well HAHA, have now got my bank to block both companies I also got £15 credited to my wowcher wallet that I did not know existed, just waiting to see if what I ordered gets delivered
