sold a voucher as redeemable for 12 months then expected me to redeem in 28 days, the title of the sale should reflect the redeemable period, purposefully misleading so they can rob your money, be very careful

First time using Wowcher

First time using Wowcher, purchased a hotel stay, I did not realise it had to be redeemed which I accept, it does state in the small writing. What I don’t accept is that of all the many spam emails they send daily, not one was a reminder of an expiring voucher, I clearly would not have left it un-redeemed on purpose and lose my money, but as many social media posts point out, Wowcher bank on that happening and never remind customers. Of all the bad reviews I’ve read, Wowcher must accept that this is an ongoing occurrence yet fail to step up to prevent their customers losing out, it really is a poor service in this day and age. Prior to realising this was not automatically redeemed, I had bought a voucher for a 3 night trip to Rome and needless to say, that too was a disappointment- on the travel company calling me to confirm, they informed me my flights would get us into Rome at 02.00 am!! This being the first night and then leaving at 05.00, meaning we would wouldn’t actually have a 3rd night!! Needless to say, we had to pay a few hundred pound more to change to more reasonable flights which then meant we had to change airports and the hotels advertised are not the ones we had a choice of, we are now staying in a 3 star and not the 4 star advertised.I contacted Wowcher regarding the first issue, and exactly have others have said, they would not consider any form of refund. I cannot think of many companies who do not send out reminders, therefore it mustn’t be that hard to achieve for your customers but I guess Wowcher must be happy with all the poor experiences they provide

Order an item that never arrived

Order an item that never arrived. Wowcher pass me off to the seller. They passed me back to Wowcher saying they had no record of my order. Wowcher ignored my WhatsApp messages and have done nothing to help me.I've reported it to my bank as fraud and hopefully they will get my money back from Wowcher. If it goes wrong they don't want to know. Avoid them at all costs.

Absolute con

Absolute con. Ordered mystery prize for £17.99 plus postage of 3.99. What a massive pile of crap. All I got was a necklace, ring and earrings ( not even matching mind you) such bad quality I doubt even Temu would sell it. Won’t ever buy from wowcher again. Total scam

I tried to order a gin gift pack at wowcher

I tried to order a gin gift pack at £12. After a while with no contact by email I checked my PayPal account and found 4 debits to wowcher for 2 orders at £13, £10.80 an unwanted vip subscription at £11.98 and £1.99 for some addon or other.I may have done something wrong since at 79 years old my mental status may not match my expectations but I cannot remember past transactions being so complicated. I have gone to the chatbot but I hope some human will contact me with advice on how to cancel all of these transactions, preferably by email or message since my hearing is not good and agents without English as a first language can cause problems by phone. Hopefully I can update this review with a positive outcome.

I redeemed a watch

I redeemed a watch, heard nothing else. I spent 3 weeks ill with covid, so last thing on my mind. I eventually contacted them, what a nightmare that is, you have to talk to a virtual chat. 4 days later I received an WhatsApp message saying they are not going to refund my money. So I have no watch and no money, is that not theft. I am not having to look into taking them to a small claims court, I have just started the process. How many other people's money have they stolen? Customer service is a diabolical shambles.
