Review Time
I could not find correct acceptable response , since 2010 : I could not find any response about royalites of my book : Addiction from start to the end published in 2010 for last 15 year only the first years total royalities less tha $10 dollars and after that nothing but my book is selling by AMAZON and some others but no royalities , no person to be responsible ? my phone and address given to the xlibris many time and the know my E mail and many time I receive E mail from xlibiris asking me to buy 100 or moreof my boks ?????????????.Parviz Babablavi,MD 4/24/2025
This company is nothing more than a scam. They are difficult to deal with. The standard of what they send through is very poor. They constantly keep badgering you to sign up for more and more marketing, yet wont explain it to you or refund the money if you decide not to go ahead. I have now seen from other reviews they dont pay their authors their royalties. I have cancelled my order with them but they wont return any calls. They state that Oprah supports they are the best self publisher so i will be writing to Oprah and let her know they are just a scam.
My dealings with Yuki were great but the rest of the company is just money hungry, they don’t listen to you… constantly calling and pushing for you to buy more marketing even after you have said you are not interested or can’t afford it. I found Jake to be really harassing, since sending them an email; Jake has stopped calling me and it is now someone else from marketing. This company is honestly not worth the headache and is just after receiving money more than anything and will tell you whatever they need to in order to get you to agree to purchasing a package. Still waiting on my royalties to be paid out. Whenever I search my book online both soft and hard copy books are “unavailable.” Not impressed it was put on google books which can now be read for free. I wish I did better research and went through a different company. I’m in the process of looking at publishing a second book and definitely will be doing better research into companies and not using Xlibris again. What a joke.
I am having a great experience being contacted by people who have purchased my first book. I have discovered that I know very little of the publication process and wish I had started to review this process at least six months before the publishing date.
When they say you will have a team that was what they gave me, this was new to me so I really was not sure what I was doing, I just knew how to write. So I did and they took their time with what I did not know. and helped me to understand better what I did know or thought I knew, I did not rush with what I was writing or sign off on anything until I was ready. Not to call any names, from the first person to sign me up to the last person to put my book out there all were a part of my team, I am pleased and you can still reach out to them and I have. So five stars ✨ from me I hope to use Xlibris again thank you.
Things started to fall apart at the end. The folks helping with the set up and publishing were helpful. But once transferred to my "book consultant" I couldn't easily get a call back, was provided incorrect information, and when I asked to change the delivery address, was told the message was received, BUT DIDN'T change the address. I received the books and I am unhappy with the print quality of the photos; it doesn't seem to match what I approved on the galley photos. They asked me to send an email with pictures, which I did. Four days later, no one has contacted me to discuss.
My initial contact with Xlibris was outstanding. Joseph really helped me get this to the editing phase. Without his help it would never have been published.The editing and artwork phase was just as amazing.My only negative for the entire process was the marketing teams persistence in trying to upsell me to a more expensive marketing package despite repeated requests to stop asking me and calling me.All of my family and friends so far have been loving it.
