Sorry i cant give less than 1 star We had booked accommodation for 2 team members coming from India to Ireland.When they got to the accommodation there was no heating. We had to move them after one night and Airbnb are completely refusing to give us the refund we requested.The team on the chat are less than helpful and from the responses they send do not even read the mails sent to them.Do not use this service. book local with people you can trust and in the end go legal
This company is a complete scam. They are quick to take your money, but if you cancel, they hold on to it for weeks. They’ve been holding my money for 10 days already, and now they say it could take another 10 days! Absolutely disgraceful. It’s shocking that a so-called “big tech company” is allowed to treat customers like this. They take us for fools, and it’s disgusting. DO NOT TRUST THEM.
Tried to register for a booking. It is however unable to verify my identity, while everything is done exactly as they request. The foto's of my ID-card are made with my government foto-ID app, but it keeps rejecting it.When calling with support it gets directed to your standard Indian IT callcentre.The employee there is very friendly but cannot help at all.
I recently stayed at an Airbnb property where, on the very first day, a corner cabinet door came off its hinges the moment I opened it. There was no misuse — the hinge screw holes were worn and unable to hold the screws. In other words, ordinary wear & tear.The host filed a $250 claim against me. I explained it wasn’t damage I caused. Airbnb then “investigated” but never shared what they found. Even after I provided witness statements confirming I didn’t mishandle the cabinet, Airbnb sided with the host and held me liable.What frustrates me most is the lack of transparency and fairness. Massachusetts law says tenants cannot be charged for normal wear & tear, and even Airbnb’s own Host Guarantee excludes it. Yet I was still billed.This isn’t just about $250. It’s about following the law, being transparent! Guests deserve protection, not hidden investigations that always side with hosts. @MA_AGO
A guest lied about many facts for a free stay but Airbnb took their side, and told me that they won't report my listing as violation as a good gesture. I won't use this platform again. They're giving the tools for abusers to keep abusing the system
Booked apartment in Athens. Got messages from the owner of the flat doing the day. Once I turned up was told that due to electrical issues he had cancelled to the booking…. Contact Airbnb, only to be told that they would refund me the amount, and I would have to secure new accommodation at own cost, which would be more or less the double amount due to high season. The case has now taken over 3 hours, and still no solution given by Airbnb. When speaking to them, I have to explain to he case over and over again, as it’s a new person each time. Each time they said the same, pls give some time…. Bet I’m going to end up sitting on the street for the full duration of my Athens stay
Amazing support that solved many issues and always was fast and reliable.I builder trust to Airbnb from many years and even in conflict situations with host (like smoking smell in apartment) they solved it perfectly.As digital nomad I spend significant part of years in Airbnb and it was extremely nice experience in comparison to competitors.
Booked and paid for a rental for 2 days and they confirmed. I also got a message from the owner welcoming me. The following day Air BnB said that it had been duplicated and that I no longer had a rental booked, promising a refund (in time). I will NEVER use them again. They could keep ££££ temporarily falsely confirming bookings and ear massive interest!!
The stay was overall fine and matched the description. Check-in went smoothly, and the place had the basic facilities needed. Cleanliness and comfort were acceptable, though nothing particularly impressive. Communication with the host was okay, but some small details could be improved to make the experience better. Overall, it was an average stay.
