Review Time
maybe they were good once, can’t say that they are anymore. Receptionists are always rude. Over charged every single time. Receipts are only ever card payment receipts (dodgy?!)..never give out the itemised receipts showing what you’re paying for and very rude response from receptionist when asked for one! Won’t be using anymore and absolutely won’t be recommending anyone else does!
I very recently got in touch with Animal Trust. firstly i registered, then had a vet nurse ring from the central hub, I had a in depth chat about my 14 month old pup with complex illness, she made a double appointment with my local animal trust vet in Leeds (Morley) for the day after,On my arrival registered with the receptionist who seemed pleasant, felt very safe in the waiting area. the vet called me in, she gave Eddie the once over, asked me to talk in detail about Eddie's illness, he has been having tests for over 5 months for myasthenia gravies with a previous vet, they suggested I tried another vet with a ct scan, hence why I rang animal Trust, the vet listened to my concerns, his symptoms and we both agreed on a way forward with Eddie's treatment, (and no ct scan needed) I felt listened to and I feel Eddie has got a chance of life now, I have started Eddie on his medication and will return in a few weeks to get a routine check up, the medication he's on can cause side effects, low blood pressure, collapse, ect but is needed to keep him alive. So I actually feel grateful this vets came into Eddie's life. And he has now got a much more positive future.
How DARE the receptionist speak to me like that. Who do you think you are ? Who do you think you are speaking to me like that?!? I was in complete distress at my dog having a serious medical issue and you speak to me like that? Can the management please listen to the phone call last night my name is Chloe and my dog was called Betty. I want to raise a serious complaint about this horrible man at the Bolton animal trust-whoever you are you should NOT be working with animals you clearly don’t like them and don’t ever, don’t EVER say to a customer ‘euthanasia it is then’ when I was struggling with my finances. Who do you think you are ? Don’t ever speak to somebody in distress like that ever again. £90 I paid in taxi fayre a to get up there after trying to sort out finances ‘well you should have came earlier’ £90 I paid when you said it was £600 then £1200. I don’t ever say this but you need the sack you really do. Can a member of management contact me please I am registered at Failsworth Vets. I have read somebody else’s review he is called Dylan?
You will not get anyone to answer the phone, and it doesn't matter if you try to call your branch directly... The call defaults to the endless wait phone line, even the 'urgent and emergency' link on the website. An automated voice invites you to use the chat on Messenger. Don't bother with that. You'll send a message, and it will remain undelivered for at least half an hour. Wait longer again for someone to reply once it is delivered. When they reply, you're told they can't give any clinical advice or connect you with your local branch, their advice is SURPRISE SURPRISE ring the number that never gets answered. As a pet owner I'm well and truly shafted, vets aren't taking on new clients as they're running on lower staff numbers. If there was an emergency, my part would probably be dead before I could speak to someone to book them into the 24/7 place at Bolton.
Dewsbury branch. This is the 2nd time I've used this practice, and so far I have been impressed. I got an appointment for the following day, using an easy online booking system. The vet and lady on the reception were both welcoming and professional. I will defo use this practice again and have recommended it to friends and family.
I'm a first time dog owner. My lovely dog shar pei just 8 months old has got a problem. I looked through vets and they are all charging high just for consultation! I booked for video consultation because we are around Newcastle and the nearest branch is about 2 hours drive or even more with traffic. Done the video consultation today at 12noon. Me and my son are very satisfied. All our queries, smoothly answered. We sent photos and an hour later I was called giving me analysis and what options I got. Thank you for being honest. Definitely 5 stars for us!
Been taking our dog to both Failsworth and Ashton over the last week.Different opinions off 3 different vets. Two lots of the same medication over the last week, both with different dosage instructions and both dosages proving to be wrong. Took our dog back to Failsworth yesterday at 3pm where they decided to admit him to Bolton. Paid £589 for 2 nights hospitalisation and was told to ring Bolton after 8pm for an update. Got a call at half five to say they had no ambulance to take him to Bolton and that I needed to go and collect him. Was told that the cut off time for ambulance was 4pm. I left him at 3.15pm.An absolute shambles of an organisation. Spent nearly £1000 in the last week and our dog is still ill with no diagnosis and differential advice. Going to a new vet this afternoon. Avoid animal trust at all costs. Quick to take the money but don't have a clue about customer service or care for our pets.Wish I could have left 0 stars and that is being generous. Disgusted
What a shambles! I wish I could write the whole story but instead I’ll bullet point them * data protection issues- don’t make a payment over the phone they write your card details down on paper and leave them on view on a pad for all to see! * Complaints procedures not adhered to. They will just not bother to respond! * Practice manager stated to me (I have audio evidence) “I don’t have to follow the company procedures” * Incorrect details on my dogs record, leading to other issues * Ask for a full disclosure and got sent only parts of the history- had to report to ICO* Did a procedure on my dog without consent* incorrect samples for a biopsy and wanted to recharge for their mistakes! The whole practice is unprofessional and the staff are atrocious. The practice manager has no clue of any of the company procedures and is aggressive. I would like to speak to head office and give them the evidence I have built up on this practice.
Can't give any less stars but would love to. I put a formal complaint in on the 4th January. Yet to have any outcome. I am holding the dewsbury practice responsible for the early death of my beloved dog. They failed her big time. Poor customer services. Poor time keeping. Inflated prices. No aftercare whatsoever. Numerous emails and calls to be told "we have a delay in dealing with complaints" speaks volumes to me this. I will not ever recommend this vets. They say the animals welfare I'd their number one priority. Absolute bull.
My 83 year old nan took her 3 year old rescue staffy to the BOLTON branch because he had no bladder control, they took him in and said he will have to stay over night, have x rays and bloods taken ... fair enough. They billed her £280, the results showed nothing she was sent on her way and told the dog needed to loose weight. A week later hes still the same so he was taken back ... the same tests was done again ... this time they said “we are thinking is cushions disease “ and she was sent on her way.. again no treatment or medication. This time £320 down. Fast forward a week later and hes still the same, she phones the vets and asks what can she do, what is the next steps. The reception said she will speak to the vets and ring her back. She rings my nan back and says “we need to do more tests. Another round of bloods. Scans and wee samples. Another £320. My nan said no. Hes not going. Youve done these tests twice already and i cant afford to keep doing this when im on pension.... fast forward a week later and my nan gets a BAILIFF letter through the door demanding £320 for a vets appointment that shes not paid .. my nana phoned the vets very upset and they advised “we are sorry we can see he didnt attend there is no fee to pay” my nan questioned “well how do you know how much my bill would have cost ? How are yoh estimating peoples bills and then frightening the life out of them with the bailiffs!!” The receptionist response was “ your upsetting me, im going to hang up” ... My nan has paid out a lot of money and still none the wiser, the dog is still not right and has been treated very poorly. I feel this vets have seen a older vulnerable lady and decided to rip her off. And from personal experience seen as this vets is a “charity” why does it cost a lot more than a standard vets and the medications are even more expensive, you can walk up the road and buy the same creams/lotions/ flea/ worming and even some medications from pets at home for a third of the price.
