They really need to get things sorted soon, or it will be a disaster. I'm a business customer of 12 years. They've been excellent up until a couple of years ago. Our foreign parcels are taking 2 weeks to even LEAVE THE COUNTRY! and our domestic are taking up to 5 days to deliver, sometimes just the other side of Dublin. I'm told by the lads in the sorting office it's because they're prioritising shein, temu, etc, which is pretty disgusting, as it's the SME's who've both been supporting an Post while getting affected most.D12, portlaoise and Athlone all seem to be disaster zones and I don't know how this hasn't made national headlines already. Joe Duffy needs to do something on this. I want to continue to support our national postal carrier, but we'll have to go elsewhere after over a decade of services if it doesn't improve. It's seriously affecting our trade and we're just one of thousands of small businesses using their service..... therefore, it must seriously be beginning to affect Ireland Inc. ability to do trade with other countries.
Who ever An Post use as a contractor to deliver larger packages in the D15 Archerswood area is a complete disgrace! Today this guy didn't even ring my bell just posted a docket to go pick up the package in coolmine. He has done this multiple times now & IM SICK OF IT ! I caught him once doing it & asked him to please ring the bell it works. Today he does it again, I was there & listening for the bell ...Lazy just do your damn job ! AN POST sort these guys out please! Our Usual An Post guy James is brilliant but these guys...USELESS !
I would give this company less than 1 star their customer service is disgraceful. You can’t get anyone on the phone & while you are waiting they remind you to use their speedy WhatsApp service which doesn’t work because nobody responds on it. When you finally get through they can’t find your parcel especially when it’s a customs issue. I’ve had no traceability on any parcel that has been returned to sender because of customs issues & I asked when it’s been returned to the sender & was told they don’t know because it’s sitting in a container somewhere so I can’t get refund from the sender until it’s returned to them. Their system doesn’t work at all & has no traceability on parcels. As for the delivery staff I’ve had numerous issues with post being left in my garden & getting notifications that it was delivered & many times I’ve had notifications to say they couldn’t deliver because nobody was home even though I was home they didn’t even attempt to deliver. This company is a shambles from top to bottom it’s actually amazing that they actually survive as a service. Rod. Update response to An Post - Maybe instead of spending time replying to bad reviews of the company you could improve & fix the issues highlighted by me & many other customers. These issues are happening everyday - still nobody answering your speedy whatsapp, still takes too long to get through to anyone, still major issues with parcel tracking & customs especially when parcels are being rejected & sent back, still have post being left in my garden (latest one was put under my side gate) . I have contacted the company over all these issues but not much has changed so no matter what you say in your reply actions speak louder than words thanks,Regards Rod.
Poor service and communication from AN post. over a month to deliver a prcel from UK. No comunication when the item was held up in customs or any notification on the tracking page. Simply said awaiting delivery. After i contacted them they told me to wait 2-3 days, then after a week they told me it had been stuck in customs for over 3 weeks. I paid the customs charge and said it would be delivered "as soon as possible" little was i told this would be 5-7 working days.,.. still here i am with no delivery confirmation.
False delivery attempts and poor customer serviceI stayed home all day waiting for a delivery that never arrived — no doorbell, no docket, nothing. Yet tracking claimed a delivery attempt was made and the parcel was “back at the depot” barely 20 minutes after it was supposedly out for delivery. This strongly suggests bulk scanning and marking items as attempted when they never left the depot.When I went to the Tallaght unit to resolve it, I was met with rude, dismissive staff who refused to help or even check where the parcel was. I wasted over an hour and money travelling there, only to be told nothing could be done.This isn’t a one-off. Deliveries to my building are repeatedly skipped, and parcels vanish into a black hole. If An Post can’t reliably deliver or even attempt delivery, customers should reconsider using them at all.
Avoid the An Post money card! Despite being run by Ireland's postal service they do NOT record your Eircode in your address details therefore the delivery of the card took 2 weeks and did not arrive in time. ATM withdrawals very expensive as you pay local bank AND An Post. Customer service slow and indifferent.As can be seen from the An Post responses they have a standard formulaic apology and a request for more information (regardless of the information already given in the review) Proves my point,
