AnPost Money informs that it deals with all banks for money transfer. I have two bank accounts on different banks, but AnPost tries to force me to open an account with Revolut, nothing else is accepted. Here what their helpline did: Hello, if you need assistance, please write a message, and we will respond here within a few minutes.18:05Support AvatarConfirm the notification to verify your cardStep 1: You will receive a notification within 10 minutes.Step 2: Open your bank app and tap «Confirm».Your funds will not be deducted. Never Use AnPost Money for money transfer, this is truely a scam.Additional Information as requested by AnPost and TrustPilot:I sold some objects on DoneDeal. After just a few moments of publishing the advertisement I got a response. The response stated a question about the final amount and that the money will be paid ahead of collection of the items. I provided my response and later got the information and a link to AnPost Money transfer. I followed the link, entered my bank-details as requested (Credit Union) and got the answer that the account couldn't be verified. I tried again with my second account by AIB and got the same response. Then I contacted the Help desk from AnPost as shown on the webpage and got the responses shown above, pushing me to open an account with Revolut. Now I don't open a new account with a bank that I dont know just to transfer the sum of 130 Euros. I told the person on the helpdesk (a lady) that I wouldn't do that, and wrote this as well to the potential byer. After the potential byer insisted that I should open a Revolut account as well, and I declined several times, the byer with a postcode in Athlone, told me to read carefully and in a later message per WhatsApp that I shouldn't go on her nerves. This then led me to ask her to cancel the payment as I will sell the articles to somebody else. This I did in the meantime. I can only state that I will, after this experience, never use Revolut and AnPost for money-matters. I hope this are sufficient information to satisfy AnPost as well as Trustpilot, otherwise I will be willing to take a call.Response by AnPost:...I am contacting You in relation to your recent Trustpilot Review. I have investigated this and confirm the message you received when selling items on DoneDeal is part of a scam which is currently ongoing....AnPost would not ask you to disclose sensitive personal details or communicate with you in this way, nor do we affiliate with Revolut. For more information on how to stay scam aware, please visit: anpost SecurityAs a result I have changed the title of this review and updated it with an extract of the mail I received from AnPost. Please be aware of this ongoing scam.
'We have your item and will process it for delivery' is what it says on the tracking history and there hasn't been any updates for the last few days. The box is going to Spain and is insured for 150 euro but the value of it is 250 euro. I don't know where the box is, and how more long it will take to leave the AnPost dublin mail center. I've contacted many AnPost email addresses and social media profiles and phone numbers, but the only thing i've been told is that AnPost are 'making every effort to have the box delivered as soon as possible' and 'We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused'. All i want to know is where the box is, why it's being delayed, and how many more days specifically i have to wait. Tracking number is CL700205520IE
RL853399153IE this order went through today/delivered. Thanks. Had the correct documentation for customs to Canary Islands. Other items I sent hadn't got the correct documentation and were sent back. 5 stars Thanks
If I could give zero I would for the Anpost App. It’s an absolute joke. It’s down more times than it’s working. I have transferred most of my money, bills and direct debits to Revolut as it is a far superior service. An post has no customer service after a certain time. All the ways they have for you to contact them are inadequate and useless. The service was down during the summer when they did finally get back up again all my direct debits were not working. Bills and rent that should’ve been paid weren’t. It’s a complete farce with the technology out there in this day and age. But I’m not surprised absolutely useless
While the majority of my experiences have been positive, there have been instances of suboptimal service. Specifically, a lost package resulted in non-reimbursement due to lack of insurance, and the resolution process spanned nearly a year. More recently, a pattern of delayed deliveries has emerged, attributed by An Post to high mail volumes. Despite these issues, the delays are generally minimal, and customer service has demonstrated responsiveness. I recommend that we prioritize improvements to the overall service delivery.
100% helping the destruction of small businesses in Ireland. No customer care at all. No accountability. Literally only offer a service to Temu and Shein. Discusting. Also close for lunch. Says it all. I spend tens of thousands with them for the past decade. Means nothing to them. Edit: note An Post's reply. I've already constacted them and get nothing but attitude. They know this. This message is just breadcrumbs for people viewing how inept and unprofessional they actually are.
On September 15th I sent an EXPRESS parcel to Spain and it sat in the An Post warehouse for 9 days! I filled out reports, phone conversations etc. and they eventually found it and it arrived in Spain on September 29th! So much for EXPRESS! The people who were to receive the parcel were gone by then and this is in limbo. I paid 23.50 euro for this service! I should be receiving a refund and apology but still waiting for it!
The first incident occurred yesterday when my elderly father was notified that his package would be delivered yesterday. The package never arrived and both myself and my father were at home all day yesterday. I eventually checked the tracking number and discovered for some unknown reason the postman had delivered the package to a local shop?! Had I not checked the tracking number I never would have known this, as no email or text was received letting us know where it was! The cherry on top of the cake is the postman delivered an entirely different package the same day but never rang the doorbell just left it on the step. I then received an email yesterday to say an entirely different package (for myself) would be delivered today, today when I check tracking my package history has entirely disappeared. I got onto the live chat after waiting 20+ minutes for the customer service agent Sean M. to tell me that just because an post emails me that a package is coming the next working day doesn’t mean it’s going to be delivered the next working day and that my package might be delivered next week sometime. When I tried to reply to his message (I was mid-typing) he ended the chat. Both of these instances are an absolute disgrace and show how little a post are actually willing to provide the service they are hired to do (despite upping the cost of admin fees). If you can avoid An Post do, they can’t fulfill their service anymore.
