Review Time
If I could give a zero I would. I placed an order and somehow made a typo on the address. Which I really don’t think I did, I think their system made the error. The order hasn’t shipped yet so I was happy, figure I could call Ashley Stewart and they would change the number in the address that was incorrect. I was told they couldn’t change the address. I am the customer they are customer service and cannot change the address, instead they will ship my merchandise to the WRONG address unless I can stop it through UPS it is not UPS responsibility it’s theirs. I’m trying to prevent MY ORDER from shipping to. 1393 instead of 1303. Not change to a completely different address. They refused to correct the error. They are so dumb. There is a difference from changing an address completely to correcting an error. I will report them to the better business bureau. This is a hoax a scam. They suck. Will never purchase from here again.
I have been a customer with Ashley Stewart for many years. I do understand we are in a Pandemic and people are not shopping like they use too. I took it upon my self to shop at the Southfield Store on 12/13/2020, and because I asked for assistant the sales person became angry with me and began to talk at me as if I was a two years old. This was uncalled for and there were only 2 other customers in the store. When I went to the counter to check out the clerk said under her breath " it's to early for this." When I asked her what that meant she said " I am do talking to you." Unfortunately this will be the last time shopping in this store. I had an engagement and wanted to look great on Zoom. I spend my last $55 dollars at this store.
I love Ashley stewart. I love their clothes and jewelry. Fits great for my body type (size 12-14). My only gripe is the 8.95 shipping.. thats crazy . The return policy is not the best considering. Now that they have Afterpay.. be prepared as you cannot exchange anything paid with Afterpay. The Ashley stewart stores will not touch anything paid thru afterpay so don't take it back to the store. Returning you can do, but have to mail it back and it deducts the shipping unless you pay for the shipping yourself. So 1 star deducted for that reason.
I ordered a purse from Ashley Stewart, within a week the zipper broke, I tried to contact customer to no avail. After so many prompts I was told via automated system that there were technical difficulties, for 2 days I have been trying to contact them to return this purchase or exchange for another purse. I was so upset that I even went to the store, and they of course could not help me, they simply said “Contact Customer Service”. They sure had no problem taking my money! I’m done with this store!

When I received the dress it so cheaply made, see through, and scratchy. It was HORRID. Decided to return the dress and called to see what the price of my return would be since I saw something that stated it would be $8 to return. I really did not anticipate returning the item or I definitely would have read this. So I paid $8 for them to ship it to me, which took a week, and paid $8 more to send it back. I paid $16 for a dress I never even wore and never kept. This is a scam! On top of that I called to ask if the $8 to return was the same $8 used to ship and the representative told me yes. So I didn't realize I was going to pay an additional $8. NEVER EVER SHOP HERE...EVER!!

Ashley Stewart does have nice items. HOWEVER customer service sucks. I order items online all the time and 3x I have ordered items that were canceled and a refund issued but I never initiated one. The warehouse sells out of clothes quickly however instead of them communicating that to you, they let you order then just cancel!!!Just horrible

dont buy from this company although they have good items you will be penalized for refunds. I ordered a pair of sandals from them had to return them because they didn't fit. They refunded the shoe minus the shipping and my refund was $8.95 less than the total price. When i sent it back because I didn't have a return label i paid $15 usps priority to send it back( out of my pocket) the customer service is gonna tell me they dont give that back and i dont get the original shipping charge back either because the company provided a shipped the order without a problem and that I am returning it. Basically your refund will not be what you paid originally they will get you either way. I asked well whats the refund had I used the company return label they still said minus$8.95 from the total. Complete RIPOFF never again.
