Not recommended

Not recommended - we are hundreds of dollars out of pocket and without the dishwasher we ordered. Asko refused to complete the installation but never followed through on the refund they committed to.

Terrible installation and too expensive…

Terrible installation and too expensive for what these are. I was told by Asko sales person that agency provided installer will come to the house to install it well. On the day two dudes came up looking they hate their jobs and installed the unit yelling at each other. Finally couldn’t install the kick plate and blamed the cabinetry and left after partially complete job.Their argument was that cavity is too small for the kick plate, but I measured it and showed them the dimensions are exactly as Asko manual recommends. I complained to the head office asking to fix or refund the installation money as I could clearly see they installed the unit aligned to the left rather than in the middle of the cavity but no refund or offer to help other than asking more money to fix my cabinetry to install the kick plate.Very disappointed. I opted for Asko dishwasher after seeing how elegant and well designed unit with excellent cleaning capabilities but left with disgust and disappointment.none existent after service or customer care.

$7000 for a Condensor Dryer Cupboard…

$7000 for a Condensor Dryer Cupboard and they leak!!! When the issue first occurred, we were provided with a replacement. The replacement was dented and was returned by the delivery drivers. A second replacement arrived weeks later and this also leaks. They have spent weeks "reviewing" the technician report and will not co-ordinate a replacement. We have had weeks of nonresponse. Shit service and still not sure if this is an issue with the product.

Stay away from their dishwashers

Stay away from their dishwashers. We purchased this machine in December 2023, in the 1.5 years of ownership we have had to have a technician out three times and have needed to call. the service centre 6x times. - The door locking mechanism failed within the first month of ownership, meaning you couldn't close the door to run a cycle, a tech came out and repaired it - The door locking mechanism failed again, a soft reset restored it.- The powerboard for the machine stopped working, called the service centre and had to complete a power cycle - this continues to happen and it's apparently "expected" that you need to disconnect the machine from the mains every now and again to get it working again. I owned a Miele machine for 10 years before asko and never once needed to do a hard power cycle. I continue to need to do this every few months.- Tech came out again because the door locking mechanism failed. They repaired it.- Locking mechanism failed again - I called up asko asking for a refund on the machine as it's clearly a faulty unit - they refused.- Again today the locking mechanism has failed, called asko - completed a soft reset and it started working again.Having to do some kind of reset on a $2,500 machine every few months is ridiculous. The machine only has a warranty for 24 months - I know that I won't get much life out of this machine post warranty.

Asko Dishwasher not fit for purpose

In January 2020, I purchased (on special) an Asko Dishwasher DW16.1D5456S ASK, Model No. D5456S for $1,777.00, comprising the costs for the dishwasher, delivery and installation of the dishwasher, and extra warranty. I made this purchase well beyond the price range of previous dishwashers I have owned to ensure the product was of efficient and reliable quality.Within two years of my purchase of the dishwasher, I observed significant wearing of the identification buttons on the control panel, which necessitated the replacement of the control panel. This was repaired (although in 2025 the replacement control panel is again displaying the same wear of the previous panel). In July 2022, a water leak from the door and an ‘F10’ fault occurred. These faults resulted in service calls to our home in July, September and finally late October, when the faults were repaired - a significant period of 15 weeks. In October 2023, the hinges on the dishwasher failed and required replacement. In February 2025, the dishwasher was tripping the switchboard safety switch resulting in loss of power to our home. Despite the external warranty expiring on 9 January 2025, I contacted the external warranty provider. Given the unreliable nature of the dishwasher and the lengthy periods of time when it was not fit for purpose, I believed the warranty should have been honoured, however the external warranty provider had a contrary view. I emailed Asko on 21 February, 2025 for financial consideration as I believe this product was never fit for purpose. I was advised to contact the service agent in my area as Asko was not prepared to financially assist in this matter. The service call occurred on 10 March, 2025 at a cost of $170.50. A faulty element was identified and quoted for repair at $393.80. In total, a cost of $564.30. I proceeded with the repair given payment for the service charge by the ASKO agent of $170.50 is not negotiable. It would be impossible to purchase a new dishwasher beneath the cost of $393.80, so I deemed it necessary to proceed. It is now 15 April and our dishwasher is not yet returned to us as it was also discovered it has a water leak - the service agent is still waiting for the replacement part from Asko.NOTE: The dishwasher has been inoperable for a collective period of approximately six months since its purchase in January, 2020! Given the extremely poor service record of the dishwasher, which has resulted in extensive periods of inoperability and unreliability, I firmly believe the dishwasher’s performance is not consistent with ASKO’s advertised claim of ‘durability and longevity’ and was never fit for purpose. Asko are not replying to my emails of complaint. I will never again buy an Asko dishwasher.

Do not buy anything ASKO

Do not buy anything ASKO. They were once decent but now overpriced, cheaply made products that do not last the distance and the company has zero interest in helping you if something is wrong with ASKO appearing to take no accountability for substandard quality and longevity.

ASKO bad service, bad products and will not refund money.

My husband & I purchased an ASKO dishwasher in June 2023. Since purchase we have had the same fault 3 times. Our last experience was the worst with regards to their service. I had to contact them 3 times before they would even acknowledge that there was a problem. (Do not use their online service booking as they won't respond). Once we were finally booked for service the technician had to come out twice (really nice subcontractor) before he decided that the dishwasher could not be fixed. Then once again heard nothing from Asko. Contacted them several times before we finally got an answer that the warranty had been approved 6 days before the last contact and that the warranty department would contact us to organise the removal of the dishwasher. You guessed it no contact again. Waited another week before I finally contacted them again when they finally booked me is for the next week for the dishwasher to be removed. Even though I told them several times that they would have to remove the Dishwasher we were contacted the afternoon before pick and told that we would have to remove it and have it ready for pick the next morning. As a result, my 62 yo husband and I, both with health issues, had to remove the unit. The unit was pick up the next day, a Thursday, and we were told that it would be returned to their warehouse on Friday. Once again, they have not bother to contact us to arrange the refund. As it has now been 8 weeks since the dishwasher originally broke down and a full week since they took the unit back, I contacted them again about the refund. We were told they would get back to us at 4pm. If you guessed it, they didn't you were right.

Actually "technical" support is not offered by Asko

I called Asko's technical support line as my dishwasher had stopped working in the wash part of the cycle without throwing any error messages. I have received advice that it could be the motor or the capacitor so I called Asko to help troubleshoot (this is what the call Support centre allegedly offers). the first operator told me he wasn't technical and to hard reboot the dishwasher, and call back to speak to a technical specialist if that didn't work, which I did. When I called back they said there was no technical specialist who would talk to customers. Don't expect any actual support if you have a problem - it's just a way for them to book in one of their repair people for multiple visits and more money for them as they won't even try to diagnose the problem up front.

Hopeless product

Hopeless dishwasher, incredibly disappointed. The panel gave up after 6 months, Asko's recommendation "just keep turning it off and on". This worked for awhile but when we rang them back to say this no longer works, the response was that we had accepted the workaround so no longer covered by warranty. We have now raised a case with Fair Trading.

Leaking outlet hose washer & dryer …

After washer & dryer were installed the outlet hose attachment started leaking. Asko 'service' said it was my responsibility to get a plumber even though the leaks only started after the new washer & dryer were installed.
