My Asko Dishwasher sucks!

Avoid this mob like the plague unless you want to pay top dollar for a turkey.The dishwasher breaks down all the time and then you have to suffer through seriously uncaring customer support. They love treating you like a leper.One will tell you they'll discuss the issue with the upper management. The next will say there's no point doing that as it'll be a waste of time - then they spend 5 minutes explaining why.'Scandinavian inspired' is hilarious as they moved from Scandinavia to Sweden in 2013! I'm Arnold Schwarzenegger inspired but would be closer to Danny DeVito.You'd think their reviews are too bad to be true...but unfortunately that's not the case. Worst appliance manufacturer and customer service I've ever suffered.Run away and keep running.

Ripped Off

Bought a washing machine 15 Sept 23 it didn't work from the start; technician came out and replaced part (We had to pay for his travel over $100) still didn't work. Several calls later they agreed to a refund. They picked up my machine on the 27/11/23 still no refund numerous phone calls always an excuse. Starting to think we've done our $2500. Next step contacting office of fair trading and my solicitor. Do not buy an ASKO product they are rubbish and after sales service is appalling.

Please don't invite ASKO into your home

Our ASKO dishwasher is just over 12 months old. The repair person has been out 5 times in the last 12 months. During the most recent repair the parts sent by ASKO were faulty and blew the house fuse repeatedly while the repairman tried to work out what the issue was. With each repair the dishwasher is not working for 3-4 weeks (delivery time on parts). The returns office is not contactable, the recorded message repeatedly says 'The office is closed call back later. Goodbye' then you are disconnected. We received a text from ASKO two weeks ago finally advising ASKO had agreed on a refund (only thanks to The Good Guys). I've since had to chase ASKO to organise collection which is part of their conditions for refund while they stall us with non-truths. ASKO are not demonstrating accountability on warrantee obligations. Our experience is that there is no warrantee or accountability after sales on ASKO. A simple Google search shows Asko Appliances is now owned by Gorenje Group which is a part of Chinese major appliances manufacturer Hisense....ASKO use a play on words to deceive 'INSPIRED by European Design or Scandinavia'. You are paying extra for a 'badge' Hisense purchased along with the old ASKO's 'high end good will'. As you can see in the reviews here and on other review sites that a more than reasonable number of people are experiencing issues with the new Hisense/ ASKO who has no interest in honouring warrantee or accountability for after sale service. We like others communicating here, continue our fight with Hisense/ ASKO for a refund. Please don't invite ASKO into your home.

I would give them a zero star rating if…

I would give them a zero star rating if I could. I have been waiting since 31 May23 (its now 14 Aug23) for someone to come out to service my dishwasher. I called in Jul23 and spoke with the rudest unhelpful male. Then rang again on 10/8/23 and spoke with a very polite and helpful female who assured me that she would call me the next day as this was unacceptable that no one had been out to see me. No call then I rang again on 14/8/23 and spoke with the same rude unhelpful male who told me I owe them $131 for a call out fee and put me through to accounts??? No one has been out to see me so I have given up. Will never buy an ASKO appliance again and certainly do not recommend them

STAY AWAY FROM ASKO!

I too would like to give them a -100 stars if I can!I have been calling them every single week for 2 months to chase up for a service request for the same issue (within warranty period )for a washing machine. They sent a repairer out replaced a part, that got nothing to do with the error code! And when a leading appliances retailer says they have problem contacting Asko for warranty issue, you know they are bad! I have few Asko appliances, but never again would I purchase or recommend anyone to buy Asko! Asko appliances are not consider to be a cheap brand, you would expect better service than what they are providing at the moment! There are other choices at the same price point, so do yourself a flavour, STAY AWAY FROM ASKO!!

Disgusting company to deal with

Disgusting company to deal with. Purchased new dishwasher $1600.00 delivered, could not change language first day or get it to turn on. Service centre contacted and we were spoken down to and treated like fools. Will never purchase again from them

Poor quality products and awful service, blames customer

Purchased a combi microwave and oven on clearance with slight cosmetic damage. Poor performance out of the box, and oven function did not work at all.Two years and three repairs later, the microwave started sparking in use. Apparently, the paint is scratched, which they blame on us. We suspect this was done when it was last repaired. It’s hard to believe otherwise, considering we rarely take the glass tray out except to clean it, and only ever use the official accessories. Additionally, if this damage really was caused by removing the glass tray, there is no mention in the manual, website or otherwise that the coating is so brittle that minor use could risk scratches.They say this is “unrepairable” and refuse to offer any service or remedy. CHOICE magazine has found that a high end microwave should last at least 10 years - this has only lasted just over two.For an extremely expensive product to not meet consumer standards of safety and durability is shocking. Customer service is poor, and essentially non-existent. I have reached out to them 6 times about this issue and they do not respond.I believe they flout Australian Consumer Law as they don’t guarantee repairs for a reasonable time.Based on my experience, I would never recommend this company or product to anyone.

Didn’t even get our oven

Didn’t even get our oven, they just kept cancelling our delivery, sometimes without even telling us. We had to keep chasing every time with no reason for delays. Had to give up after a month. Delivery was by ASKO, not a separate company, so there is clearly something not working with this company.

ASKO dishwasher saga (just out of warranty)…ASKO dishwasher (just out of warranty) broke down in April 2023. Initial agent recommended by ASKO claimed it was insect damage which was incorrect. After many phone calls to ASKO they sent another repairer at their cost. I was informed that dishwasher has a few different problems including a leak and rust so would need to be taken to their workshop for a full diagnosis and they sent a report to ASKO. No response from ASKO after a week and after the last phone call I decided to report them to the ACCC. They are deplorable and hard to deal with. This was not the case 15 years ago when they were still manufacturing in Sweden. The whole issue has taken nearly 3 months without a result and clearly they are not interested in their customer base. An expensive high end dishwasher should last longer than 3 years. I will never again buy any ASKO products. Would not recommend this company to anyone and am not surprised by others poor experience.Date of experience: 01 June 2023
