Over priced Junk.Stupidily I changed my whole house out for asko appliances. The oven I bought died every 6 months until it run out of warranty so I binned it.Dryer door latch does not stay locked.so if you try to dry your clothes the door flies opened every minute.A 3rd party for asko has been out twice and tried to fix it - still no success. The washing machine leaks from time to time out of the door seal.I will say their dishwasher is still going strong after some of the digital panel stopped working after about 2 years.I had LG and electrolux before asko a lot better product in my experience.
My previous Asko dishwasher was excellent but after 10 years needed replacing. I didn't hesitate to buy another Asko however I wish I had read all these reviews as the new dishwasher is a complete dud. It stopped working after 5 months (drain pump fault) and I have been dealing with the incompetent service centre since September. The service people have no integrity as they don't do what they say they will do. After 6 weeks of calling them repeatedly with no action from them I asked to speak to the service manager, which apparently is not allowed. You have to send an email which I suspect will also go unanswered. They seem unaware of basic consumer rights and while none of us will probably see any joy from Asko we can warn other consumers not to purchase their products in Australia.
Terrible product and Customer Service.Bought a Dishwasher D5436XL 8 years ago. It’s the 3rd time I’ve had a problem with it since the warranty expired. First, it was the handle, then the detergent dispenser which both had to be replaced at my own cost + labour. Now it looks like the control board is on its way out as the cycle stops half way through and starts from the beginning and then repeats all over again until you turn the appliance off. So I called Customer Service to gauge whether it was worth having it repaired. I have a Bosch dishwasher in a rental unit that’s 16 yo and not once have I had to repair it.I spoke to the rudest person on the phone. You’d think that they’d adopt a friendlier tone considering their products keep falling apart despite being marketed as high-end appliances but no.I do not recommend. Won’t bother with the repair and buy a brand new Bosch instead.
We purchased an Asko washing machine and dryer in late 2023 and have had ongoing issues with both appliances. The dryer has been a nightmare. Asko came out numerous times to try to repair it, only to finally replace the motor after several visits. Now, just weeks later, it’s already broken down again, and they’ve had to replace yet another part because it kept making loud banging noises. Instead of acknowledging this is a faulty unit and replacing it, Asko continues to drag things out with more “goodwill” repairs now that the warranty has technically expired. Completely unacceptable given the repeated failures during the warranty period. The washing machine has also caused major problems. It leaked earlier this year and damaged our brand-new cabinetry. Despite clear video proof and obvious water damage, Asko initially refused to accept responsibility because it wasn’t leaking during their first service visits. After countless emails and follow-ups, they finally admitted the door wasn’t sealing properly - but only after making the process unnecessarily difficult and stressful.Customer service has been consistently rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. My last conversation with a service staff member was particularly insulting: when I tried to share my experience and give feedback, he brushed me off by saying they “get a lot of time wasters.” Well, Asko - your customer service is the real time-waster.This entire ordeal has disrupted our busy family life and taken up far too much of our energy - time we should be spending on our family, not chasing endless repairs. If I had the energy, I’d take this matter further, but for my own peace of mind, I’ll settle for leaving this review. Hopefully it saves someone else from making the same mistake. As a designer, I will never recommend Asko to any of my clients and will actively advise them to avoid your appliances. Premium price, bargain-bin service - not what anyone signs up for.
We purchased an ASKO washing machine a few years ago & Harvey Norman pushed the sale with the extended warranty. At $1500 it wasn’t cheap. In August the machine was running very loud, so I rang & reported it as it was still in warranty. A contractor was arranged to collect it to repair it, 10 days later it was returned supposedly fixed. It now had a new noise & a loud spin. Reported it again & the contractor came out & told my husband to just turn it to a lower spin cycle. The numerous advisors I spoke to at ASKO were rude & dismissive with no customer service and I was disappointed that they don’t have a complaints procedure, you just have to send an email and it’s passed onto the correct dept. I got passed around between ASKO & the warranty dept. I then had to contact CBS & Harvey Norman’s for help & support. I am now waiting for ASKO to replace or refund the machine. My advice if you are thinking of buying an ASKO machine …… don’t !!
I took delivery of an Asko front loader washer yesterday afternoon and did my first load of light washing last night. There's a terrible burning smell and a burn mark on the back of the so called stainless steel drum! What? How did that happen? I called Good Guys, who I purchased it through and they can't help, I have to go direct to Asko, who aren't open until Monday apparently and I have washing to do. I called Asko today, Saturday, they answered and all they can do is book a technician to come out and inspect. They won't arrange for the washer to be picked up and replaced this weekend, so I can do my washing. The load I washed smells of burnt electrical smell. What am I supposed to do? I paid an extra $100 for installation and was told it was ready to use. What a disaster. And I'm now seeing this is a common issue. If only I saw that before I bought it. I asked Good Guys to replace it with another washer, but they won't. They'll stock Asko and take orders, but won't help with a problem. Terrible on both fronts. I'm out $1,998 and can't wash my clothes. I have to wait a whole week before a technician will come out to inspect. Door sticker says made in Slovenia. There's nothing Scandinavian about this product, or at least the so called quality! I hate that I bought this brand. Asko is no longer a high quality product, in my opinion!
After only 5 months of owning and brand new $2k+ dishwasher, it has a major failure and getting F54 failure. We have been going through loops hole for over a month with no repair date. When the dishwasher works, it’s great, the customer service is dreadful and not supportive. Still no end in site.
What a mistake. We had been looking for a fully integrated dishwasher with a time-to-go display projected onto the floor to replace an old free-standing Bosch unit. We settled on a new Bosch unit, only to find it had been discontinued the week before, so the ASKO seemed the next best thing. When it was delivered, we discovered that the feature had been removed, although it was still shown in the online manual. We have been trying to obtain compensation from ASKO for the past three months, and although they have promised to provide us with some cash back, nothing has been forthcoming; instead, they have ignored us. We have also tried going through Harvey Norman, but they have been stonewalling us as well. When the dishwasher was delivered, it had water in it and smelled foul, so we had to air it out while we were waiting for it to be installed. The cutlery tray is next to useless as it is too small and shallow to hold much at all. The drying performance is abysmal. The racks are open at the back and front, so smaller stuff falls out. We were expecting so much more from such a well-renowned brand and have been sorely disappointed. Our old Bosch did a better job, shame it couldn't have been built in. Will not be touching ASKO appliances again.
I have an Asko 2048C washer which is about six years old. From when it was three years old the front panel has been rusting where the front panel meets the top panel. I complained to Asko but there only response was that it was out of warranty and they couldn't do anything about it. It has now started to leak. I have looked up reviews on these washers and now find there it is apparently many Asko washers that start leaking after they are out of warranty. Asko washers are represented as premium machines, but I don't regard a washer that starts rusting within three years if purchase or starts leaking within six years off purchase when it is only used a few times a week as a premium machine. Asko washers were premium washers but that was when they were made in Sweden. They still have some unique features but they inherited those from their Swedish origins. However, don't be deceived by the "inspired by Scandinavia" slogan. They are not the machines that they once were. I previously owned an early Asko washer and it went for over 15 years before it finally started to wear out through heavy use. However, my present machine is not in the same league. If you want a rusting, leaking appliance then go ahead and buy one. Otherwise, look for a machine that is truly premium.
