Review Time
Severe sound distortion when trying to record a movie. The advice said to reinstall Audials and the problem is solved. Oh no it isn't. There is an urgent need to stop developing new features and concentrate hard, very hard, on fixing the ongoing problems with Audials (ongoing = years).
I've been an Audials user since v2021. Currently with the latest 2025 version and it has improved quire a bit with the added features and speed. I don't subscribe to a lot of Music streaming services, so when I found out that Audials allows me access to listen (and download) a wide variety of music that I like, I gave it a try. Haven't been disappointed yet. The Addition of access to Video content has been a bonus as well. The additional bonus to have Audials also on my smartphone has also allowed me to enjoy my audio content.The one time I did have an issue with v2023 was when I upgraded my computer and Audials wouldn't load. The Tech support I received was prompt and had me up and running in quick time.Just a note: the streaming relies on your internet speed and stability, so if you have a solid fast connection, you will be fine using Audials.The one thing that lacking and it's a minor point is having the option to convert files to your choice of format during download. I'm sure that can be added in future updates. Other than that, I'd highly recommend it to others.
Audials One got my purchase refunded within 'trial' period. The core software works I guess but its buggy and crashy. You will not be getting HD or 4K content with this. Most streaming outlets limit the internal or web players (read, anything that is a 'computer') to downgraded quality knowing that these exist. It will not be like the quality you get on your TV. Program crashes frequently during recording. Editing recordings afterwards for commercial or restarts causes file corruption. Lots of problems with the output files losing audio or otherwise being incompatible with Plex or similar. Audio ripping seems to work fine but that's a fraction of what you're paying for. Don't bother
I don't trust most of these reviews. I see glowing reviews after each negative feedback. I wonder if bots are being sent after each negative review to keep ratings up. I've had problems with Audials too. I tried to remove it using SETTINGS>>APPS but the uninstall option is dimmed. When I shutdown the program my mouse gets whacky and doesn't respond or is very slow. I have an i9 with 32gigs of ram and it still slows up the shutdown. It's accessing the internet way too much and it worries me that my internet connection is being hijacked. Task manager shows my wi-fi peaking during shutdown down. I'm using Audials 12.1.10800.0. Why does Audials need access to the internet so much? If it's due to updates then notify the buyer and let me make the decision to update rather than doing it behind our back. And by the way, I updated to 2024 but my key didn't work after reinstalling my operating system and I refuse to buy Audials again.
I've been using Audials One for 5 or 6 years. In the beginning the software worked well. Every year they seem to add more problems. This year they have made it impossible to use. Their game this year is to make contacting them so complicated that you actually can't. I've filled out their on-line for 4 or 5 times and NEVER gotten a response. I highly recommend skipping Audials and finding someone else.
