Review Time
Minimum support during the course (5 day response time). No tutor support for retakes. I submitted my retake work on July 15th, got the results yesterday (August 15th), despite it showing that it was marked on August 1st. On top of that, the assessor gave me a referral on all the work that previously passed (all same questions & answers) and only passed the section I had to redo, then gave me until the 19th to resubmit. I've appealed, which was denied as they don't do appeals on referrals. I CANNOT get through to anyone in the assessment team and no one can put me through to someone who can actually help. So stressful and no answers.
This is a very professional institution. I have had a great experience with both the administration team as well as with the learning team. I did a level 5 course in learning and development. The platform used is seamless and the content is well presented. The assessments are challenging but in a good way and I fell a lot of the learning comes from the assignment, with the content acting as support and guidance. Special shout out to Britt and Mark who tutored my cohort expertly, without whom it would have been a lot harder to get through everything. I highly recommend this institution to deliver the CIPD courses of your choosing.
I am currently pursuing CIPD-Level 5 with Avado and would like to give a big shout to an amazing tutor Mark Beecham. I struggled with Modules-5CO02 and 5CO03 in both my attempts and Mark came to my rescue when I needed the most especially due to the changes coming with the new briefs. He explained some of the areas where I struggled in some of the AC's which truly helped me. Along with Mark's explanation; I went back to my Avado learning platform, did some further reading material and over web pages with reference to the guidance videos and assessment brief and managed to submit both the modules within the final last deadline and I was truly amazed and happy to see that I PASSED both of them. I can comment full heartedly; Mark Beecham is a wonderful tutor who truly has created a big impact on my learning journey with Avado. I am proud to be a student of this institute and would recommend any interests to contact them. Thank You.
Literally awful. Trying to complete my CIPD through Avado is more painful than continuously bashing my head against a brick wall with iron nails coming out of it. I submitted an assessment which didn’t pass by 1 mark, asked for feedback to help me make up the 1 mark and trying to get in touch with anyone and get useful feedback is like trying to make contact with aliens on another planet, only I think I’d be more successful doing the latter. The first time I asked for feedback a tutor told me “I can’t talk about your assessment in case I am assigned to mark your resubmission” which is absolutely crazy and someone must be able to talk through the feedback with me! Anyway, I resubmit the assessment and now most of the assessment criteria’s have failed!!!! And I’m being told it’s because the marking guidelines have changed even though the instruction given to me and the command verbs that they harp on about are EXACTLY THE SAME. I called Avado on Monday 12th August regarding this, literally an hour after receiving my graded work, and I get the email stating the above from Brit on Wednesday 14 August, it also says I can appeal the grade but within 10 days making that Wednesday the deadline??? Excuse me how? My graded work has only been with me for 3 days and I raised the query immediately after receiving feedback. Honestly I’m sure this company are trying to manipulate me to pay them for cohort transfers and retakes. You can’t call or email a tutor or anyone, you have to raise tickets through their gods awful portal, they only reply during usual business hours so good luck to anyone trying to complete this whilst working a full time job. My experience with this company has been the worst, I feel gaslit, depressed and anxious over every interaction and dealing and if I didn’t pay so much money for this course I’d have dropped out ages ago!
L&D level 5. Britt and Mark were both great. Avado have excellent learning material, seminars and fast marking. I came to them from another provider who were hopeless, so I really have a point of reference here. Some people complaining don't have this and a lot of the complaints are better directed against the CIPD than Avado. The course criteria are really hard to hit and the CIPD are really quite sadistic. Britt was really warm and supportive and went out of her way to help. Very pleased I chose Avado. Thanks to all.
I am currently completing the final part of the level 5 associate diploma. During the enrolment process, Habiba was extremely helpful and provided me a lot of information, patience and time to explain and listen to requirements. During the programme, I have been lucky to have Britt Webster as my allocated tutor, who has been very motivating and insightful. I have enjoyed the sessions and feel that Britt brings so much passion and knowledge to engage learners and support to keep up with the studies. Feedback on assignments has been very well organised and this has provided good insight into performance which has helped to maintain passes and develop good practice throughout the assignments.
I studied CIPD Level 5 with Avado and completed it. I found the process extremely long between the time you finish your last assignment and the time you get your certificate (3 months). I’ve been chasing to get my certificate as I need it for my employer to refund my studies however they are being too long. This causes so much stress. I am chasing everyday to get my certificate and a colleague of mine faced the same issue. Customer service is not helpful either. Their sales consultants push you to sign up with them, but the quality of the service provided is not matching… I am disappointed and will choose another provider for my level 7. I put one star as the tutors are really good. But Avado’s customer service really needs to improve.
I have just completed and passed my final Level 5 module with Avado. I cannot recommend them highly enough, my tutor Britt Webster was supportive and answered my many queries. Our cohort was also lucky to have support from Mark Beacham too who was equally supportive and both made the process easy to navigate! Thank you both for everything!
Britt and Mark, as mentioned in other reviews, I found fantastic. Clear and supportive sessions providing help and guidance where needed. During the 11 month programme there were a number of tutor changes which is a little destabilising however both Britt and Mark were by far the best. I found the course material good but the initial support and tutor direct I found lacking. Student Support take far too long to respond and come back on queries raised. I only raised 2 queries but both times took over 14 days for a response. Not ideal. Lots of changes along the way, the worst being a last minute word count increase on final assignment a week before submission date. No end of the world but annoying when you are under pressure with work and the learning.
