I drive a leaseplan/ayvens van for work and a recent service booking has been a nightmare. Dropped off to the garage at 8am on Tuesday 13th May, did not hear anything until I called the garage and was told the van required 2 brake pads and 2 tyres; but the works could not be done until leaseplan/ayvens authorised the repairs. Authorisation was given at end of day for the brake pads, but the garage were not authorised to replace the tyres and a mobile fitter was booked instead. The garage was perfectly capable of replacing the tyres and the pads, but now I have to wait until the mobile fitter has replaced the tyres at the garage. Still not received the van, lost 2 days of work, 2 days off the road for 2 brake pads and 2 tyres!!
Definitely not the best out there tbh, leasing the vehicle was ok but the customer service was pretty terrible and then they have all these extra costs as you go along, if you get a parking ticket, you pay it but then Ayven then charge you another £15 which they call an admin fee even though you don’t need and don’t want them to do anything. If you write to them you get some stroppy little girl write back. Personally I would say they aren’t the worst but they don’t value me enough to use them again in the future and I would prefer to go main dealer
My complaint was handled by Toni Griffin swiftly and efficiently. Toni clearly identified the long standing confusion with my leased vehicle and addressed to a satisfactory outcome. I was reassured that Ayvens has competent personnel with good communication skills and the ability to get to the heart of the problem.
We've paid Ayvens £18,000 over the past 4 years, the car that we have been paying for has basically blown up through no fault of our own and not only have they decided to not assist with the repairs, they think it's acceptable to continue the payments when we don't have the car. We have now had to open a case with the legal ombudsmen and have been told that not only are we not able to pause any payments, but if the legal process takes longer than the end of our contract (a timeline in which I have no control over) they will continue charging £400 a month for their car which has been sat in the garage since Feb 17th.They have left a young family with 3 children with no car, paying their lease every month on top of the hire fees for a replacement car.No compassion, no support. Just pure greed. Avoid this company.
