My experience at Big O Tires, Timberline, Fort Collins CO has always been excellent. There is so much competition in this town that if they aren't excellent and outstanding and professional you just go to the competition! This shop has been GREAT. Mainly my visits are air check (after all new tires, which are great by the way) and the tech's are prompt and Very courteous. Often it is James Wilson who is at the counter and he, like the others, is very well mannered and an excellent tech too.
Don’t use Big O on boulder highway in Henderson, NV! Extremely unethical! Got a quote on a set of tires and ordered. On the way home, I had that; “I’m getting ripped off!” feeling. Went to Big O on gidson and 215 for another quote. They quoted me $500 less!!! I thought HMMM! I hate unethical practices! Went to discount tire and was quoted $750 less than the first Big O. I then went to the boulder Big O for a refund… I got charged nearly $454 for restocking. They didn’t even have the tires on the premises; so what are they restocking??? After that I went back to the Gibson Big O. Talked to them and was told they don’t have to do that charge. I’m a 100% rated disabled veteran; I wrote a review and was contacted by regional manager. He did nothing! In spite of knowing everything in this rating. Moral of the story: “Stay away from Big O!!! Go to Discount Tire: They are always fair and honest! Wish I could get my money back! Boulder Big O quote: $2279.58… Discount Tire quote accepted: $1399.48… Same exact tires!
Had my '17 Hyundai Elantra serviced at the Shepherdsville, KY location on December 22, at this Big O Tire and one of their technicians got oil on my headliner. The manager, Adam, had his tech clean my headliner. He scrubbed it so hard that it ruined it. I spoke to the Adam and told him they need to come up with a solution to remedy this situation. He took pics and said he would see what he could do. Upon calling him back, he said he could refer me to Derby City Upholstery, Gary Clark, and he assured me he would do a good job. I am told it cost $500 to replace my headliner. I went to Derby City Upholstery in January 23 because I trusted that they would not refer me to a bad company, but also I wanted this to be an easy solution without any difficulty. It was a nightmare from the beginning. The headliner looked lumpy upon install but Gary said that would smooth out over time, it did not. He did not re-install 2 of the small headliner lights properly, one he did not re-connect the wires to it. Gary came out to my job 3 times to do repairs on his work, but he stood me up 6 previous times, no calls/texts. Now the headliner is coming unglued/falling down. Gary has been difficult to deal with all these months, he over promised & under delivered. A year warranty came with the headliner, but Gary refused to honor it.. Even if he did, I DO NOT want him touching my car ever again! Gary also damaged the roof of my car from the inside so I have 2 small dents that were not there before that you can clearly see was came from the inside that must have been caused from a tool he was used. Big O Tire referred me to this Upholstery company, and they are liable for the problems I have encountered as I would never have gone here had they not referred me. I am a single mom who does not have time for all of the grief and stress this has caused me. I contacted the manager Adam about all of this and was told they are not willing to do anything else for me.
Been customers of Big O for many, many years. No problem with tires ..always pleased. However we started using Big O for oil change, filters and rotation. We went into the location on Gibson and 215..wanted oil change, filter, etc. They put the oil plug in so badly with an impact wrench that it was fused onto the oil pan. Tires were marked before taking in and they were never rotated. It took hours to retap and repair the threads on the pan. We will never go to this location ever again.
Murfreesboro TN store. Repeat customer. Been here since 8am for simple basic oil change. They told me at 9 that I had "major oil leak" from o ring and oil pan gasket. Went from $55 oil change to $300+. It's now 11 and still no word. ..I'm in waiting room dying of hunger and thirst.
Had a tire that needed replacing under the Big O Replacement warranty for road hazards i purchased with the tires. After replacement they told me there was a $21 dollar fee for changing the tire and about $24 for the warranty for the new tire. First they did not notify me or explain the charges before replacement. Second their competitor Discount Tire only charges for the new warranty for tires they put on. i could have picked up the tire and paid less to have it changed at another tire place for less if that was the case,
Just go to Sam's Club for your tires. If you MUST buy from them, then buy the absolute cheapest and lowest tread life guarantee tires, because the higher priced ones are exactly the same compound. Bought the 60K mile tires, and they did not even last to 30K, if you try file a claim on the warranty, they will do every possible technical denial they can to get out of it. Never Again.
I went to get an oil change and Nick was great he did everything right I was able to watch him and he explained everything as he was doing the job. Excellent service, I will definitely go back and ask specifically for Nick Hodges at Altoona store..He even checked me out up front.
Rude horrific reception person (gumpy old man) that really need a tuneup on his brain, as pizzing customer away is not a smart practice. For a simple tire change over, paying $37ea for the job is ok with me but he chooses to pizzz me off with an low level story trying to lecture peopel tires not being bought via their shop and zhits like that,t just BS... just get it done you Stupid! better than paying standard hourly wage to your colleague doing nothing (where as other places can get it done @ $25 without saying a word). Services like this nowaday deserve failure at the end (deem for closure, no wonder they have to move location). I will not go to this shop for any servicing nor would i recommand to anyone, infact I will warn people not to go there if not needed to.
