Fabulous

Fabulous , fabulous fabulous . Had a real nightmare of loud prolonged beeping which I thought was from my boiler , a fantastic engineer called Michael came out within an hour and was fabulous thoroughly checked everything and after a good hour he discovered the beeping was coming from our washing machine and he unplumbed the whole thing and took it outside and discovered it was my carbon monoxide alarm that had fallen into the machine and the batteries had got wet . Michael then moved the washing back to its original place and plumbed it all back in . He then upgraded our gas meter and provided us with a brand new carbon monoxide meter for free . Cannot thank Michael enough for going above and beyond . Highly recommended and appreciated . Thankyou .

Brilliant service

We had a brilliant service from Cadent. With a pregnant wife and a toddler we had our carbon monoxide detector go off at bedtime. Someone came to check quickly on a Friday evening. The next day (Saturday) a driver came up from Birmingham (2 hours away) to check the whole house for gas leakage etc. He was really thorough and did an excellent job! Very pleased thanks

Brilliant engineers

I reported a gas leak at 11pm, the cadent team were out within the hour and worked til nearly 4am to locate the leak.The following day a team arrived at 8am to complete the pipework and the restorative team have replaced block paving and holes etc todayEvery engineer has been absolutely brilliant. Polite, informative and sympathetic to the situation. I cannot thank each and everyone of them enough, they have made a difficult situation a lot easier to handle. Thank you Cadent.

Disability & Sexism by male Cadent workers

At approx. 13:30 I returned a disabled tenant to their home in Eckington, Sheffield S21. In pulling into the small car park, we were faced with it being full of Cadent vans and workers. I pulled the car between the vans, blocking them in. As the tenant is disabled and unable to walk far and has a blue badge this was the only option. On opening the car doors we were 'hounded' from all sides by Cadent workers saying they needed to leave. I explained that I, as a carer, was just escorting the tenant to their flat and then would be leaving myself. This was more than reasonable. One of the van crews then decided to switch the engine on and rev it and make out he was moving. The tenant has now told me 35 minutes later none of the vans had left.Why do Cadent workers need to harass disabled people and their carers for using the car park that is theirs to use?Does Cadent's training/method of operation include telling lies?Does Cadet's training/method of operation include multiple male workers putting on a show to 2 women in an intimidating manner?

Left with no gas to shower , bathe or cook food !!!! No communication from anyone to let us know that the gas won’t be on when we get home Flags have been ripped up and there is crap everywhere , absolute joke workmanship

Exceptional service from Cadent.

Exceptional service from Cadent.I noticed we had no gas at around 8am today. I checked everything and phoned them at 9am and went through online troubleshooting and it was confirmed to be an issue with our supply rather than a wider issue.By 10:15am, an engineer had visited, swapped the faulty meter and left us working again.Really can't fault that, thank you.

Six months of being fobbed off. Complete contempt for the public!

Cadent arrived in March this year. I couldn't miss them, as they had blocked both my gate and driveway with their vans. We had a car full of shopping that we couldn't get into the house, but that didn't matter as they had a job to do! This ended up in an argument. Morning Cadent!A job to do and a job they did! 2 hours digging in the ground they hit a high voltage cable with a digger. God knows how the two guys survived. power out in the whole postcode.Power down for three days for us, I had to approach them for information, nobody knocked on our door. No apology from anyone.Finally, job done the reinstatement left the entrance to our property with standing water in front of the access, we had a visit from a reinstatement manager who said as it was due to what they had done, they would sort the problem.I contacted the manager in May as nothing had been done. He apologised and said he would sort it.Finally the team were back today28/09, but did not want to honour the work that was promised, just there to put a paving stone size patch of tarmac in the middle of the road. I could not get the manager on the phone and the supervisor of the workmen didn't want to know, said the manager was wrong to say they sort my front out, but didn't want to contact the manager. When I showed him where the problem was his was dismissive and uninterested. Then when I asked who should I complain to but he ignored me. Total disregard for gas customers.Terrible customer service, poor communication, Managers promising but not delivering.

Cadent is a Joke !

Cadent is a Joke !! Very low pressure of gas since 2023. They coming just pumping water from pipes and that’s it . It is a winter and rain season we will have to ring them constantly, same as last year but they don’t bother . Even though they leaving us without gas for hours. I have complaint in email and submit form on the website no one even trying to resolve the issue . Message sent that someone will be in touch and nothing happend ! Cadent Schame on you !!

Complete mess in Mountfield Road, Northamptonshire NN9 5SY. They’ve been upgrading the gas main but have had the footpath up outside the driveway of every single property yet failed to provide enough trench covers so people could use their driveways. “We’ve not got enough, you’ll have to share them” was the answer. Expecting pensioners and people with mobility issues to move barriers and heavy boards around. I would love to see the risk assessment for that!.Work has gone on much longer than planned with appointments to turn gas off and back on constantly rescheduled. Workmen constantly shouting in the street. I can appreciate that these works need to take place and fully understand the reasons for it taking place but it shouldn’t have been this messy and clearly not planned properly to not have enough trench covers.This is one company that always causes a nuisance with anything it does with complete discontent for the people their work affects. They could get away with murder with a sorry as they are NEVER accountable.

Cadent: Rip Off MerchantsCadent came to reroute 8 ft pipe from below garage and, for some reason they are not able to explain, moved the meter from a secure housing to near floor level. The work took 2 hours , at a leisurely pace, and for that privilege they charged me £750. Complaint lodged with ombudsmen...want a fair price and meter put back in original position. Classic example of a monopoly doing what they want and charging the earth: 2 hours work for price of a small family holiday!!!! Scope of work: dug 1 ft square hole in drive, rerouted gas pipe 1 ft up the front of house, and above ground into garage...AND THEN I had to pay a plumber another £110 to connect the gas!! Is seems although Cadent can cut gas off to a house, they aren't allowed to reconnect it to the house. Probably expecting too much from them for their £750!!!** This has already been passed onto Cadent, ref 20124703 - TK-03346, with no joy and that is why it is with the Ombudsman now but , I suspect, that will be fruitless too**Cadent say on here they want to investigate further: HEARD NOTHING.Says all you need to know when the percentage of 1 star reviews is greater than 2, 3, 4 and 5 star combined.
