A Professional Service.

At the start of my claim I was allocated a dedicated legal adviser Andy Richardson who advised and guided me through the claims process. He was professional, knowledgeable and courteous. Whilst the process was long and drawn out a satisfactory settlement was eventually reached. Thank you Carpenters for a professional service.

David Walmsley is a true gentleman and an absolutely fantastic solicitor. He has been completely attentive to me at all times, offering an ear when I have a stupid question or need something clarifying for the tenth time.Entirely transparent throughout, I am confident that his expertise and humanity has helped me make this very difficult decision. He gave me the best outcome and the worst outcome scenarios and showed faith and true dedication to my case. He explained Part 36 offers better than any lecturer at any University could. I appreciate more than anything the work that he does and would recommend him 100 times out of 100 to anybody who needs legal help.I took an early offer against the advice, as I just wanted the case to be over as I knew it was going to be a drawn out affair, and I was happy with the amount and my progression so far, but his advice showed his resilience against legal tactics and the considerable amount of expertise he has to fight, and win, these sort of cases. He is a credit to Carpenters and any law firm would be lucky to have him.

Dreadful company

Dreadful company. I have attempted on three occasions to make a complaint as the website to access documents does not work and no one replies to emails and the call handlers persistently fob you off…I have been waiting now for 45 minutes to just get through to the complaints team. I would advise anyone to avoid this company if they are nominated by your car insurance provider!!

Do not use motor legal service!

Carpenters were assigned to me under motor legal protection by my insurers. They contacted me the day after my accident which I thought was amazing. Since then the communication has been awful. I had a medical appointment under their coverage which lasted less than 5 minutes and no examination took place which meant injuries I sustained weren’t actually included in the claim. It took over a year for the case to go to court. The court ordered compensation to be paid and on all the paperwork it highlights payment within 4-6 weeks. 15 weeks later I am still waiting. I have phoned multiple times and each time been told all that is needed is a form to be signed. I still have not had it. There may be a delay in the courts but after reading reviews on Carpenters I will be asking any insurers in the future who their motor legal protection is with and if it is carpenters I will not be insuring with them!! My case wasn’t contested as it was the other parties fault - it should have been a clear and easy case. 18 months after the accident I still do not have the compensation from an accident that was not my fault and my passengers claim has not even gone to court yet. Service is awful

Shocking company

Shocking company. Had an accident 16.12.23 still on going. Got offered £2900 and when compared to online claim should be in the region of 8.000-23.000. I asked to end the claim as I can’t get any response from my claims handler Danielle. The doctor even updated her report without seeing me. Yes Iv asked to close it as it’s just dragging on. Liability was admitted straight away from other party. I have spoke to someone over the phone twice in nearly two years. Can’t see an end to this claim unless I take a big loss and I can’t change companies now.

Rude and unhelpful

Rude and unhelpful, putting barriers up to avoid speaking with anyone, don't want to hear complaints and talk over you when you do eventually get to speak to somone. I spoke with Leanne and Selvy who were both rude and unhelpful and refused to log my complaints inline with their own procedures.
