I have a giftcard from Boots.com sold by this company. I have had approximately 15 contacts with Boots via email, telephone and social media. They have refused outright to provide any assitance with serval members of staff admitting that BOOTS HAVE PROVIDED THEM WITH NO TRAINING TO ADDRESS SUCH ISSUES. they have been completely clueless, passing me from one agent to another, none with an answer or solution. they have directed me to contact CASHSTAR directly, which i have attempted to do via their website. I have clearly outlined the problem, and indicated that i just want to use the giftcard that I am legally entitled to. they have flatly ignored my correspondence. I am left out of pocket WITH NO ACCESS TO ANY SUPPORT OR ACCOUNTABILITY FROM EITHER BOOTS.COM OR CASHSTAR. AVOID BOTH.
Total scam!! Unbeknowst to me I purchase a Cinimark gift card through Cashstar.Com for a family member. I gave the person's name receiving the gift and was told I would receive a link to forward the card. I was never sent the kink. If there was a limk required why wasn't it provided when the confirmed the sale.
Cashstar if ur reading this, please help resolve this issue. my friend paid 10 dollars for a playstation giftcard as a gift for me. it showed her an error that the transaction failed but took 10 dollars from her credit card and here we are a day later no signs of it on the email. so please send either a refund or send a new gift card so I can enjoy my gift. YES I CHECKED MY SPAM and main emails A million times they did not send anything and im convinced it wont come so plssss help.
Used CashStar on the Nordstrom Gift Card website. The entry page defaults to a gift card value of $300, which I changed to my intended $150. I proceeded through the ordering process, entering the message to my niece recipient, email addresses, and credit card info. I checked everything, including the price, and just before I clicked "confirm & submit," I decided to back up and change the message to my niece. I then clicked through to confirm and submit, not realizing that the website reverted the order to the default of $300. I learned of the $300 error when I received the email confirmation. I immediately contacted a Nordstrom Rep, who contacted a CashStar rep, and was told gift cards can never be canceled, changed, or refunded. Then I was told that the CashStar representative stated that if I ordered another $150 gift card for a total order of $450 and provided CashStar with the second confirmation number, they would cancel and refund the original erroneous $300. So, they obviously could cancel the original gift card, but they refused to do so. What if I called them back and they refused to cancel both? Then they would have $450 of my money instead of $150 or $300. What made me more disgruntled, distrustful, and convinced they lie was the fact that 2 weeks prior, my wife and I, not knowing the other was ordering a gift card for our nephew, had made the mistake of each ordering a gift card for the nephew. When I called Nordstrom and CashStar then about this mistaken duplicate order, despite there being two orders for the same recipient, they refused to cancel one, stating gift cards cannot be canceled, refunded, or changed. So, ordering two does not allow one to get the other refunded. CashStar is lying because they told me that if I ordered two, they would cancel one, but when we ordered two, they refused to cancel any!!!!!
Today, I tried buying Roblox $10 gift cards for 3 times. First, I used PayPal (connected to a US bank account), order was confirmed but then got the email "Unable to Process Your Digital Gift Card Order". I tried again thinking it was a fluke, same error the 2nd time.Then tried for the 3rd and final time, using a different payment method this time (Google Pay, connected to a different card), and even changed the delivery email address, but same "Unable to Process Your Digital Gift Card Order" error.Well, I'm currently out $30, no refunds yet, hopefully I'll actually be refunded. But either way, purchasing a gift card should NOT be this frustrating. Seems like this issue has been happening for YEARS to many people all over the world and CashStar does not care enough to fix their horrible system. Would not recommend!
I bought a key from them, but my order was simply canceled without any explanation. I had to wait 2–3 days for the refund to be processed back to my card. After that, a few days later, I tried again — I thought maybe it was just a random error. But the same issue happened again. I wrote to customer support — nobody replied. I’ve been waiting for 2 days now, and still no response. Fine, I went to the live chat on their website. There, they told me to contact Roblox support. But when I forwarded them the email I had received just 10 minutes earlier from Roblox support, saying that I needed to contact them instead, they simply advised me to buy the key on Amazon. So basically, they don’t care at all where the customer buys the keys. They don’t want profit, they don’t want a loyal customer.I asked why my order was canceled. They told me nothing. All I got was: “We don’t know. It’s the system. We can’t provide you with any information. It’s confidential.” Absolutely ridiculous. So it turns out I can’t even purchase the product I want with my own money, using my own card.Long story short, the service is a complete zero. Honestly, customer support around the world has sunk below rock bottom already. They hire people who quite literally hate their job. They have no interest whatsoever in helping customers or actually doing their work. I’ve had these exact same issues with dozens of other companies. And it’s always the same story. Customer support is basically nonexistent. It just doesn’t exist.Honestly, I don’t understand, guys. We live in a capitalist world, and the primary goal of any private company is supposed to be making profit and selling its products. You are selling keys. So why make them if you don’t want people to buy them? Why sell them at all? I genuinely can’t understand this. I am a customer who wants to officially purchase keys from you, but you won’t let me for reasons I don’t understand, and you don’t provide any explanations. Furthermore, I honestly can’t wrap my head around this. You’re refusing money, you don’t want customers, you want them to go buy from other platforms. What kind of policy is that?
Do NOT buy roblox gift cards through the roblox app. Cashstar charges your card, while the gift cards get cancelled. I reached out by e-mail and they haven't replied since. Currently waiting for my revolut to charge me back automatically after 7 days, but I'm not getting my hopes up reading other reviews.
I tried buying giftcards for a friend of mine, they said that the payment information was wrong and i tried a seccond time and they still denied it, i checked my bank account and the money was taken from me, but no giftcards have yet arrived.
