We replaced all the windows and siding on our home with Champion product. For the most part the windows and siding have been good. However the other parts that they use along with their product is flimsy and subpar. As for their warranty, it’s a joke. When you can managed to get someone out for a repair they send some sketch subcontractor that’s a hack and doesn’t really know what he’s doing. And so far this year I can’t get anyone to come out or to call me back and I have made at least 4 calls since April or May and it’s now the middle of October and I still have a chunk of facia missing off the front of my house. Horrible customer Service!
This has been some of the worst customer service I have received from a big name company. Ordered siding in May and was told it would be 8 to 12 weeks for install. In July I called my sales guy Jimmy because I hadn’t heard anything and was told we were still on schedule. It is now mid-October. I called champions customer service multiple times and they would send e-mails. Finally I was able to leave a message with a customer service supervisor who never called back. I was told a regional manager was e-mauled and asked to call me and never did. Found out my order was left on someone’s desk who was let go and not picked up again until September. Install manager told me he could cancel the order but I would be charged 30% of the cost.
John came and sold us the siding. Said they’d check out any decayed wood and he’d be checking on us as the work was done.” Last thing you want is two guys and a pickup coming to do your siding.” Said John. Then two guys and a pickup showed up and did our siding for Champion. It looks good on two sides but crooked and wavy on the other two sides. Called them back, emailed John. Never heard from John. Called again. 5 weeks after the first call a guy shows up and fixed a couple little things then says he can’t fix the wavy part at the front entrance. Then he bumped a piece of siding with his ladder and left. I didn’t see the ladder damage until he left. He was a nice guy. I guess I’ll have to fix their sloppy job or hire somebody to fix it. I talked to a contractor who said he can fix it already but I prefer champion would fix their mess instead. Update: the siding the repair man came to fix popped off again. It has been a couple weeks. They’re going to come look at it.
Champion did an excellent job with my bathroom window. Their warranty is what sold me, their workmanship was excellent, their installation crew was efficient and cleaned up perfectly.I will definitely hire Champion again to replace other windows.
We are adding Champion windows to a home we just bought. We installed them in our last house and saved 1/3 of our utilities as a result. We stayed in the home for almost 20 years and easily saved 2 to 3 times what we paid for them. Also, in that time, I noticed gas leaks from 2 windows. Champion came out, verified the problem and installed new ones at no charge. Love that lifetime guarantee. Our new house had champions throughout, but not for the large 6'x6' windows. That's what we had done now. Looking forward to the additional savings on our utility bill in the coming years. Sales person Brad was great. He worked for us, knowing we were former clients and that our new house had champion windows, he and his manager worked a real good deal that made it worthwhile to make the entire house Champion protected.
Today we had a Champion representative, Craig Stevens, to our home to provide us with an estimate to replace several windows. We have used Champion on two previous projects and have always been impressed with their products and service. Today was no exception. Craig was helpful, knowledgeable, courteous and very pleasant. We will certainy continue to be loyal Champion customers.
Beware: I purchased 5 windows and a sliding glass door. 8 weeks I waited and day of installation they canceled that morning. Bob was good enough to reschedule immediately. Installation day, the windows went in with no problem but the door, the door had been measured wrong by 1 1/2 inches, significant mistake. I have to wait 8 weeks for a new door and Ralph S. the regional sales manager nor Erik the installation manager were willing to do anything for me as their customer. ISO, I think not, poor quality control. NPS, nope, no recourse for the customer. They wouldn't even allow me to cancel the order when I found out it would take 8 weeks. Also the person who measured wrong has a graveyard of mistakes and instead of getting rid of him, they moved him to the Columbus office.10/7/20- at 1037 I called the number left in their response below and left a message. The message said someone would get back to me in 8 hours, it is 749pm and no phone call. Again disappointed in lack of attention to my concern.10/8 They called left a message I called back was told I had to speak to the supervisor only to leave a message that got no response. The charade continues.10/10 still no contact.10/13 - after no further contact from anyone at Champion windows I have filed a complaint with the BBB.
Representative showed up early and prepared. Fantastic presentation of what all Champion had to offer. This is our third experience with champion and Jay kept the tradition of great service with a smile going. Very knowledge and was able to answer all concerns in regard to enclosing the deck with insulated flooring and new windows. Another satisfied experience with Champion.
The communication of this company with us and with their sub-contractors has been horrendous throughout our entire siding and gutter installation. We signed our contract in late March, finally received word that the job would start in late June after many attempts by us to get this information from Champion. It was always like pulling teeth to get any information such is a dumpster going to dropped off and if so, when and where will it be placed; when will the gutter team be on site; gutters were wrong color so it took several more weeks for those to come in; bathroom vent covers were the wrong ones back in early July and we're still waiting for those to come in. It's been up to me to initiate all contact with this company. How they stay in business is beyond me. Todd Dixon, if you're reading this, I would like to speak with you.
